Best dinner of the week

I went here with a group of 6 including two children under 2 that are typically well behaved in restaurants and the staff was more then helpful in keeping the little ones happy. They were brought out a fruit plate and extra bread. And that is only the start. The food and service were fantastic... read more

We had reservations. The restaurant wasn't crowded but we were sat outside beside a noisy bachelorette party. I just glanced at the hostess and she said "they are getting ready to leave". We sat down, ordered wine, then the waitress came back to take our food order. The party was still there and still loud! We finally moved inside (which... More

We read about this place and knew that it was one that had to be on our list while we were on Islamorada. It doesn’t open till 5pm and it is busy every night, so we made a reservation the night before we went to make sure we could get in. We sat at the bar and had a great... More

Having read some very enthusiastic reviews,we visited Chef Michael's anticipating a fine dining experience. Though the staff was pleasant, the service seemed to be slightly off tempo. Maybe the kitchen was turning plates out very quickly, or maybe we just ate our appetizers too slowly. But, end result was was that entrees arrived immediately after appetizers were completed...way too fast... More

A little higher price compared to other local places, but impeccably prepared and very fresh seafood. Also terra ferma options.

This place is located in Isla Morada (of which my hotel experience has been awful). I tried to reserve a table for tonight and Mary treated me VERY good. She did go out of her way to accommodate our party of 4 and even called us to tell us there was a cancelation so we could go earlier... CONGRATS on... More

This is truly fine dining that one might not expect to find in the casual Keys. We have been going to Islamorada for over 20 years and have enjoyed a number of restaurants but none can match the quality of food and equally outstanding service of Chef Michael's. Since its opening a few years ago it has become a tradition... More

We came here for our 10th Anniversary. The place was great. Very small, you could raise your voice slightly and talk to the tables across the room. Had a very elegant, yet comfortable atmosphere, and the staff was amazing. I coordinated getting flowers to be ready at our table, and Mary the manager/coordinator/concierge did an amazing job. If you are... More

It is a small place but worth calling ahead! You can even bring your own catch and have Chef Michael prepare it! We WILL be back!
