Always eat here a few times while visiting my son . The food is good at a fair price , the staff is a lot of fun too .
My husband and I were heading back to Key Largo after a day in Key West. Longer drive than expected prompted us to stop here for a break and a snack/beer. The waiter was prompt, the bacon wrapped shrimp, crab rangoons were marvelous. After a very disappointing sunset meal at Lorelei restaurant (horrible service) last night we were so happy... More
By the time we drove through Key Largo on our way to Islamorada, it was lunch time so we stopped at a fun bar / restaurant / marina / motel called Smugglers Cove in Islamorada. Smugglers Cove is defiantly dogcentric and a water bowl was brought out and set down for our little Spencer right away. We tied him my... More
As you cross the bridge from Tavernier to Windley Key, turn sharp right and almost under the bridge you'll find Smugglers Cove where the food is hot and plentiful and the price doesn't empty your wallet. Try the onion straw starter - but only if you're very hungry.
Gross! The service was awful. They brought me the wrong drink and then tried to deny it....trust me, it was OBVIOUS! We stopped in for a cocktail one evening, thinking we might want to go for dinner some other night. Ha! It only took a couple of minutes to realize how terrible that thought was. It has potential...the place is... More
Love coming back time and time again...miss kitty kat, Brit and Erica to mention a few..always smiling...remember my cocktail and food is always great! My favorite chicken wings EVER! Order them extra extra crispy!!
We had just arrived in Islamorada, came over a bridge..were hungry for lunch, and saw the sign for Smugglers Cove...so we pulled in. The atmosphere is really what the Florida Keys are all about. Nothing fancy for sure...but enjoyable. Our server was a very courteous and pleasant young man. While in the keys, I usually don't order a burger, but... More
The bartender was more worried about going outside with a gentlemen instead of her costumers. There were several people waiting for drinks while she was on her phone. It took us 20 min to get three drinks and she would return outside. she was very rude when she returned to the bar. Its a shame the bartender had such a... More
Again, we stopped by here on a whim. As an author, I loved the name: Smugglers Cove. How could I not? The stories the name conjures up are endless. This place promoted itself on its huge sign as a resort. Uhm...a bit lacking and rundown on that respect, but we didn't stay there so I can't attest to the service... More
