Good atmosphere. The drinks where alright but the bar tenders where not friendly at all. I realize that they get busy, but even a little smile goes a long way. Left after about an hour; will not be back.

Dropped into Capt. Tony's while in Key West. it was a quiet Sunday night and this quaint and quirky place was just right. Nice bar feel with lots of off beat décor hanging from the walls and ceilings. Staff were friendly without being overbearing. Tried Capt Tony's own brew which was very nice and worth a try.

To truly experience Key West you must go to Captain Tony's and check out the history of this place. Between the "hanging" tree still growing in the middle of the building, to the real grave in the pool room, there is so much here. It was the original Sloppy Joe's bar too and the starting point for Jimmy Buffett. Go... More

Patronized Captain Tony's last evening. Wish I hadn't. The staff is rude and the place is dirty. The entertainer, if you can call him that, (about 7:30pm-7/14) is a rude jerk. There are so many other options in Key West, DON'T bother with this place.

Get the Pirate Punch, it's AWESOME! Even comes in a take home cup. The band is usually great, and has an awesome old Key West vibe. Love it!

I love Captain Tony's and come here every time I am in Key West. I don't usually stay very long, but I find it hard to just walk by without going in for a drink and a photo or two. It's such a cool old building with a big tree growing right out of the floor. I really wish I... More

We stopped here twice during our four days in KW, and it's a must stop for KW history fans. They claim this is the building where Hemingway drank, and it's also the place where a lot of women lost their underwear. The crowd is friendly, and the music is very good. It's a nice place to relax. The refillable souvenir... More

Here is a casual (like most of Key West) bar with an array of Tropical drinks besides beers and liquors. Nice stop for a "before dinner" drink.

This place is funky and had some cool history. There is a tree in the middle of the bar, a morgue is where the pool tables are and if you stand with your back to the entrance and toss a quarter backwards into the mouth of the grouper in the sign it brings good luck! I did and when I... More
