Obviously a place recognizable from the Jimmy Buffet song. It was touristy cute and fun to visit. We had only drinks and read the historical memorabilia on the wall. Great hanging sign out front for a photo….

Captain Tony's is one of the bars that's on everyone's must see list in KW. In fact, I was introduced to my wife there in the summer of '88. Place doesn't have exactly the same feel now that Captain Tony is gone (he hadn't owned the place in years). Also changed when they blew out the wall and added a... More

OK look, don't set your sights too high. Ya wanna have a shot and beer, out of a plastic cup no less. You will have that here. Loud, too close, entertainment. Spiderman guy outside the door. Cheap beer however, and not too many tourists, at least when I was there, but in KW nearly everyone is a tourist. I will... More

Not sure why I liked Captain Tony's so much, but I did. I like how it is divey and dark and not as crazy packed as other bars were. They had live music and pool tables and good fast bar service. I felt comfortable and enjoyed my time here. The drinks were good and all the people in the bar... More

This place is cool... great rum punch. It's an old bar and has lots of memorabilia everywhere, even hanging from the ceiling. The staff is friendly and service is good.

As you can tell by my username, this bar left an impression. Drinks were delicious, especially the punch! The dark, dingy, random decor is awesome (look for the fake leg someone left behind when they got a peg leg and became a pirate). The bartenders were fun and music was always entertaining. Stopped by here every night the week we... More

They always have some sort of live music playing, and they are all entertaining and funny to listen to. We stopped in there a few times during our time in Key West in March. We always look forward to this stop. The bar stools with names of famous people who have visited is really unique. It is central to everything... More

A rustic bar and the original location of Sloppy Joe's when Hemmingway used to visit. Live bands play at night and you can really let loose here, remember, what happens in Key West, stays in Key West!

We stopped at Captain Tony's during a ghost tour and heard some great stories about the history of the bar. It's a very nostalgic place with stories about Captain Tony on the wall, mementos people leave from all over the world hanging from the ceiling and bar stools named after the famous people who have visited Captain Tony's. Upon the... More

Captain Tony's is a KW institution. It's right around the corner from Sloppy's and Hog's Breath so stop in while in that part of town and check it out.
