Many places along Duval have limited vegetarian options so we chose this one because we love how veg friendly most Mexican restaurants are. Food was just average but everyone was nice, service was better than average and the atmosphere was quite good. We opted for carryout a few nights later and were disappointed that their $12 order of nachos amounted... More

We had just arrived in Key West and were starving so we didn't take the time to read restaurant reviews. It's an open air restaurant on Duval St. and appeared to be quiet and a good place to get a simple lunch. We enjoyed the rooster walking around looking for scraps while the edit staff attempted to shut it away.... More

On our 5th night on the island we decided we wanted to have "mexican" as OTMC was suggested by a young man at a local store...While we have been very impressed by the food in Key West so far, We must say that Old Town Mexican Cafe was the BEST we have had so far. We had the shredded beef... More

I really enjoyed this outdoor experience, sitting on the patio and munching on salsa and chips. Not as good as Lone Star, in my opinion, but husband disagreed so it must be an individual thing. I had a margarita which was a little watery.

We popped in before the show at Aqua there were 8 of us they did a great job squeezing us in. I was looking for some top shelf liquor which they did not have, but all in all it was a great place to eat

I moved to Key West 7 years ago and I never had a chance to go to this place because of my schedule. So today i had my first experience here. All I can say is everything was great - food and especially service! My waiter Max was not just professional but funny and NICE to me and other customers.... More

As a frequent Key West visitor, I've learned over the years to not expect much from restaurants on Duval St (with a few exceptions). After a very good first experience at Old Town Mexican Cafe, four of us ended up eating there 3 times over a 2 week visit for the holidays. I can't remember all of what we had... More

We are here after much deliberation up and down Duval Street and unfortunately we were disappointed! The staff were clearly very tired and not interested and the food was average and not really what you would expect reading the other reviews! Personally I would keep walking.

The food was excellent. We had burritos, hamburgers, key lime pie and fajitas. All of it was excellent. My only complaint is they add the tip to the bill. I did not like this at all. Unfortunately for the server the tip was less than I was going to give him. You win some you loose some. All in all... More
