Oxtail stew,,,,Caribbean chicken. Friendly owners,,,not the typical Key West touristy ....this place has class.
We went to dinner last night after reading all the positive reviews. The atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired (basically 50s kitsch revival) but who cares if the food is terrific, right? Our first clue that even Zagat rated eateries can be overrated is that there were only 4 other people in the entire restaurant. On a Friday night at... More
I don't normally feel compelled to rate restaurants online but this place was exceptional. The pasta with shrimp and vegetables was stellar and very well priced for the huge portion. I'm very pleased I got off of Duval St and got a much better meal for a better price than all of the sub-par touristy places. My only regret is... More
Since I live here, I have tried every single place on the Island. After visiting a little over a dozen countries, so far the "Snapper Fillet" with its marinade sauce is without a doubt the best meal I ever had. The side of rice and perfectly seasoned veggies, have a texture that is a sign freshness, they are full flavored... More
The bell hop at our hotel recommended this spot. He was from New Orleans and said he goes there when he wants creole food. When we arrived the restaurant was closed but the owner was gracious enough to open a little early just for us! I had the Cajun shrimp pasta and my friend had the snapper dish- both were... More
The food was delicious! If you want good food go here. Off the beaten path but u need to find it. I ate ribeye n my hubby had the shrimp pasta. While we waited they gave us rice n beans smothered I sauce and veggies. Then afterward they let us taste the key lime pie - wow best in town.... More
Wowee this place is great. We went for lunch and were so blown away that we brought our friends there for dinner later that evening. Everything was made from scratch in the open kitchen adjacent to the dining room. There were lots of interesting options on the menu from creole chicken, pork, oxtail, and even goat. Creole pork and oxtail... More
We aren't familiar with haitian food. What we did have was excellent. Bbq chicken, shrimp pasta. We were given a piece of pumpkin pie to finish dinner. It was fantastic. This is not fast food! Relax.
I m french/haitian and went there in June 2013 with my family (who is haitian in live in Miami). Real good food...BUT THE PROBLEM IS THE PRICE OF THE FRIED BANANAS....1$ A PIECE!!!!!!(we thought it was a joke...and the owner of the restaurant said:to rent a place in keywest is expensive...But 1$ a piece of banana NOT THE BANANA!!!!)
We visited here in June based on a reccommendation we read in the lonely planet book. We wished we had read a few of the reviews on trip advisor first as it was not worth the long walk from duval street where we were staying. The place must have gone through new ownership as we've never been dissappointed by lonely... More
