A visit to our house is a unique way to relax and enjoy life's simple pleasures as well as our treasures from the sea. The word Bagatelle comes from the French and means "a trifle or a little nothing", often referring to a light, fun, yet not too serious spring time romance. The French brought their history of fine cuisine and their love of wine to the Caribbean Islands. It is in this tradition that we have combined our French heritage, southern hospitality and the indigenous tastes of the Florida Keys into the meals we prepare today. Our chefs blend the best of our locally caught fresh seafood, fresh produce and delicious tropical fruits for our tropical seafood dishes.

Very worthwhile

Try and grab a table outside with a view of the street. It will be above street level and provides the enjoyment of people-watching while enjoying very good food. The lobster bisque was wonderful, flavorful, and worth having again and again. I will say the wedge salad was just average. But the... read more

Personally my husband and I usually try to avoid the 'fancy' places in key west being all " we want mom and pop real island food....blah blah..." Well come here because the lobster mac and cheese is life altering. It just goes to show not all 'fancy' or high end places are without charm and definable culinary voice. Try this... More

We visited in June and went here for breakfast. It may have been the best breakfast I've ever had. I had the lobster Benedict and it was so fresh and delicious my mouth is watering just thinking about it again. Another in our party got this banana French toast which was another mouth watering dish. The service was great and... More

My husband and I came into Bagatelle only because we had drink coupons. But we are glad we discovered it and would definitely go back. While the rest of Duval Street was in high-party mode, this place offered a little respite, with a quiet, cozy atmosphere. The bartender was very nice, and the drinks were delicious. I'm glad we stopped... More

Our servers - Regina and Maya (twice) were a perfect example of cheerfulness, knowledge of the dishes and drinks, and striving to give best possible service. OUTSTANDING!

Had an early reservation (6pm) so that my wife and I could stroll over for the classic Key West sunset at Mallory Square after dinner. Bagatelle was sparsely occupied at this hour and that was ok by us, as we know that it would be fully booked and a bit noisy come 7:30 or 8pm. We asked for seating on... More

My husband & I LOVE this place! We actually came here twice this weekend. We originally came for the tempura lobster on a stick drizzled with honey & were sorely disappointed that it is only done for Lobsterfest, so we went with the Lobster grilled cheese sandwich instead which was heavenly. On our second trip we came for Bloody Mary's,... More

This place is always on our list of restaurants to visit while we are in town. If you don't make it in for anything else, go in for breakfast and order the Banana Foster's French Toast. HOLY DELICIOUSNESS. It is the best I have ever had and it never disappoints. Everything there is made fresh and you can tell how... More

Situated in a charming little home on Duval Street. A table on the porch upstairs or down if you enjoy people watching. If you want some AC and reprieve from the heat sit inside and ask for a window seat. We ALWAYS order the Bagatelle Lobster, which is tempura battered and has a lite honey drizzle on it. I give...
