Great Dinner

Wonderful dinner at the Flaming Buoy. Terrific lobster Mac and cheese appetizer. Thai shrimp and fired chicken and waffles were both outstanding.

My wife had the Lobster Mac & Cheese as an entrée & I had the Hogfish with Banana Salsa. I was leery of the banana salsa, but it was actually quite tasty and complimented the hogfish nicely. The cayenne/ turmeric muffin was another surprise that was pretty good, the broccoli inside was unnecessary and took away from the muffin. The... More

Enjoyed a very nice dinner with friends on our annual week in KW. Took a break from our usual gourmet dinner place to try something new for the Birthday Boys Dinner. The Appetizer Trio was very good...the Green sauce under the Shrimp, spicy, but oh so good! It would be nice to serve some dinner rolls as this app only... More

Ate at the Flaming Buoy again this year and it was great. I love the servers at this restaurant. Very friendly. My husband and I had the trio appetizer and the trio entrees and both were delicious. My husband ended it off with the spicy chocolate quesadilla. Yummy.

Our party of four had a very nice meal at this small restaurant. The cup of chili starter was very good with just the right amount of seasoning - yummy. The fresh catch of the day (Mahi Mahi) was excellent and the fried chicken and waffles was cooked nicely and very tasty. However the Thai red curry shrimp was not... More

This places ranks in my top 10 restaurants in the US... hands down :) What a hidden gem! With the name "Flaming Buoy", what's not to love?! Tucked away on Packer Street in a not-as-busy part of Old Town Key West, this adorable house-turned-restaurant is sure to exceed everyone's expectations. You wouldn't think it's a restaurant since it just blends... More

We booked here on the back of the tripadvisor ratings. Our table was inside in a corner and regrettably we had little attention or service. I enjoy a good thai curry and occasionally cook one myself. This prawn curry was was very poor, bland with no taste or any of the normal asian spices. After our meal was served, another... More

Sent here by a local friend, it did not disappoint! Our meal was creative, but not overwhelmingly so that you needed a quide to find out what you were ingesting! We dined al fresco, not uncommon in KW, and enjoyed a superior Pinot Grigio. I would and will return on my next visit and highly recommend to my friends.

Had an an excellent dinner here last evening. The service was FRIENDLY and attentive, which seems a rarity these days. We had the fresh catch of the day, yellow tail w/ banana relish, and the fried chicken and waffles. My dad loved the fried chicken but I liked my fish more. We had lobster mac-n-cheese as an appetizer which was... More

Its tucked away from the Duval Street madness, but boy is it worth the visit. The food was excellent. It is a eclectic restaurant. It's in a neighborhood, looks like it used to be a home that was gutted and converted into a restaurant. Very cool place. The menu includes Key West staples like lobster and shrimp, but it is...
