Thai Island is a large waterfront Thai and Sushi patio restaurant that opened Valentine's Day 2008. Thai Island's menu contains one of the largest selection of fine fresh ingredients: including locally harvested thai herbs and spices combined with local noodles, meats and seafood used in preparation of traditional thai dishes. In addition to onsite dining, Thai Island also delivers to all locations within Key West as well as on Stock Island. Also on the same property and at this waterfront location is the newly renovated Barrelhead Bar, which is the site of the 1989 filming of the James Bond "License to Kill" movie, starring Timothy Dalton. Enjoy happy hour with our locals: including our experienced boat captains.

It's good.

I ordered the pad thai with chicken and it was good but not as great as the pad thai at Thai Life restaurant. My friend ordered the shrimp tempura roll and the mexican roll. She loved them both.

I have to say that I received a message that people wanted more opinons. I clicked excellent and then saw the date of visit didn't include when we were there. It was in February of 2014. I was unable to not post so just wanted to clarify that. I had never had Thai food before and have to admit it... More

I so love this place. It has the best sushi. The owner and staff are always friendly and welcoming. I make sure to visit at least monthly. Prices are reasonable and the sushi is ALWAYS good

On a quick trip down to Key West for dinner before we flew home after a Caribbean cruise - traffic was a nightmare, then there was a long wait at all the popular restaurants. We finally followed some locals to what looked like a dive bar, braved the trip up the stairs from the sketchy bar area, and landed in... More

This was our first time visiting Thai Island and it exceeded our expectations. We decided to sit at the sushi bar and I'm so glad we did. The two men preparing the sushi, Michael and Sang, were not only accommodating but very friendly and entertaining. My companion did not have his reading glasses so he described something he had in... My hubby and I thoroughly enjoyed our first experience with Thai cuisine. Our friendly server took wonderful care of us and was eager to offer suggestions. Great food, great portions, great value, great view of the marina from the porch. Perfect lunch spot.

My wife and I went to Thai Island at the recommendation of one of the Key West locals. We are poor Thai eaters, as we never branch from our favorite - pud see ew. We sat outside upstairs over looking the marina. Our waiter greeted us but didn't start with the traditional 'my name is John and I will be... More

Their sushi could definitely use some work. The fish was not the freshest I have ever tasted and they did not have a huge selection for a sushi restaurant. The Thai food was average. The service could have been better, but was not terrible.

I have been to Thai Island several times over the past year and it never disappoints. Somehow it just keeps getting better! I live in St. Petersburg, Florida but we travel to Key West to see family at least twice per year and we end up eating at Thai Island several times during our stay because it is just THAT... More
