Who would of thought that a seafood place would have a full veg/vegan menu? And it was FANTASTIC!! Donielle was our server, she was absolutely wonderful and very helpful with recommendations. I ordered the sweet potato burger, that was one of the best burgers I have ever had! Everything was perfect! Great job on the vegan options Ballyhoo's!!

We stopped here for lunch on our last day in the Key's. We enjoyed our lunch and the menu is southern style. My husband got the chicken tender sandwich with home made mac and cheese. I got the jerked Mahi with a fried tomato. Both dishes were delicious. They make their own lemonade and sauces, even homemade ketchup. The place... More

I spent my 30th birthday in Islamorada and had a hard time finding a good vegan meal that didn't involve a salad. This place was on the Happy Cow site as a good vegan place so we made the drive (only 25 mins or so ) to Key Largo, and it was the best meal we all had for the... More

The chicken wrap only had chicken on half of the wrap. The rice tasted like boxed uncle bens. The cheeseburger sliders were just nasty. Our total was almost $30. I wish I had stopped somewhere else, but we had already been driving for 10 hours since breakfast.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you didnt enjoy your meal. Buttermilk Parmesan Chicken Wrap is one of our popular items on our $10 menu, and the All American Burger Sliders are made with beef that is ground in-house. If you can call me at the restaurant and let me know the date of your visit, I... More

When driving in Key Largo, keep an eye on the median strip at mile marker 97.8. There you will find a restaurant which combines southern low country cuisine with Keys favorites, such as conch and key lime pie. The gumbo is wonderful, and they grind their own chuck for the generous burgers. The seafood pasta special featured plenty of clams... More

The food was good, but we went there with our 12 month old child and were treated with outright contempt by a few of the waitstaff. I would not recommend this to a family with young children unless you strap them into the highchair and have them watch movies on their phones.

Next to Hobo's, this was our favorite restaurant. It definitely had a "southern cookin'" flair to it, serving sweet tea in LARGE mason jars. Had the best key lime pie of the 8 or so places we tried -- great texture, really buttery crust, and served properly with strawberry jam. Definitely had a local feel to it, yet was welcoming... More

Thank you for your review. We are sorry that you didn't enjoy your meal. The Snow crab is a popular item, and its a TRUE rarity that I hear a complaint on it. We cut our own French Fries, and salads are made to order, like mostly everything else on our menu. I'd love to try to figure out what... More

I'm still thinking about the whole fried snapper I had at Ballyhoo's. It was the single best dish I had during a week in the Keys... the fish is coated in their Fried Chicken batter and fried whole, leaving the fish crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. My husband had the shrimp po boy and said it... More
