Rustic, casual, come as you are, fun time

We went here on our way home from the beach. No need to dress up. Come as you are. The place is outdoors and everything is served on plastic and paper plates. We had the sampler for $33. It comes with enough food to feed about 3 average eating adults. From what I can remember it came with 2 crab... read more

Not to be missed during a trip to the keys. This is a little out-of-the way from the regular visitors on US1, but worth the detour to stop in and check out this open-air, on the water bar. Serving great seafood, snacks and appetizers, as well as other meat dishes, live music and great staff all combine to make a... More

Friends told us to try this so we stopped on our way off the keys. I gave this a very good overall rating but let me explain. The food is your typical bar type (from the freezer) but we liked the crab cake sandwich and the style and atmosphere of the place was neat. We had a table overlooking the... More

We stopped for mid day drinks and late lunch / snack. Fun time sitting by water and watching fish, birds, boaters go by. No tolls to get there pull off just before bridge. Enjoyed a breezy sunny FL afternoon there.

We were on a Pilgrimage to Papa's house on Key West when, following friend's recommendations, we scheduled a stop at Alabama Jacks on Card Sound Road a few paces from the Key Largo access bridge. Alabama Jacks is a fun joint reminiscent of old Florida "over the water seashore bars" of long ago. The ransack "ole time" atmosphere is a... More

Jimmy Buffett sings about Alabama Jacks and we wanted to see for ourselves what his chords reveled. The food was your typical bar food but the Conch fritters were great. We got there mid afternoon after the lunch crowd and had no problems with finding a great table and quick service. I was glad I had a GPS because I... More

This is a funky little place on Card Sound. They have good "bar style" food and a cold beer and the conch fritters I can recommend as an afternoon or late night snack.

This is a typical Florida restaurant , on the water with paper plates and a musician singing....we split a bunch of appetizers which were all amazing....especially the conch fritters which were the best I've ever had (and I've lived in Fl for 20+ years) If you're driving down the Keys this is a stop you must do.....

I read that Kathy Lee stops at this place when they go to the Keys, so my wife and I took the Card Sound Road to Key Largo. Alabama Jacks is immediately north of the toll booth north of Key Largo. It's right beside the road, open air, with Keys type atmosphere and music on the weekends. The conch fritters... More
