This place has become far more about the visit than the food. Cool location, unique ambience, so-so food. Fried dolphin was great, conch fritters were ok, the wings and salad were not good. Still worth the detour when en-route to the Keys, and you won't forget the place after visiting, but don't expect to be impressed with the food.

We heard Alabama Jacks is a place to stop for an enjoyable time and meal. The people were very nice. That's about it. We ordered one of their specialty drinks. They came in a very small plastic glasses, were very weak alcohol wise, and cost 8.25 each. We ordered conch fritters, specialty fish sandwich (mahi-mahi dolphin fish), and sweet potato... More

Entertainment very good, drinks excellent, beer cold. Food? so so - average bar food. The conch fritters were a big ball of breading - couldn't taste the conch. Skip these. Service was very good. So if you want to listen to some nice music and have a few drinks, it's a great place to go.

Okay, another Fodor's pick-- in fact their top restaurant pick for Key Largo. Location and the crowd were interesting. Place wasn't super clean and the food was all fried. Conch fritters were not heaven on a plate

There's really not much to differentiate Alabama Jacks from anything else. I'm not opposed to biker bars by any means, but Jacks just felt like it was trying too hard or something; alas whatever they were doing wasn't doing anything to take away from the redneck vibe and the divey feel. We had a couple of beers and moved on... More

The fried and steamed shrimp were great, as were the fried fish fingers. I wasn't excited about the conch fritters or the crab cakes but that is probably due to my taste buds as they seemed quite popular. The crowd ranged in age from mid-30's to much older. The music was fun as was the people watching. The best fun... More

This was on my "must check out" list and I was glad it was. A soon as we passed the toll we parked and right away I knew I was going to like it. It is pretty much exactly like you would expect it to be. Super "Florida", fun, casual and redneck divey. We had a great time sitting at... More

We stopped here on our way back from the lower keys. To tell you the truth, not much of a view at all, I was disappointed. The food was ok. The service was ok. Not sure if I would make it a point to stop here again. It was ok!!

Someone stated in a review that they took their 2 small dogs to Alabama Jacks so we drove all the way out there only to find they do not allow dogs.

I was strongly advised to visit Alabama Jack for its famous Conches. First they were out of conch salad. Then I was not impressed at all by the conch fritters. It was just a lot of batter and grease, cannot find much conch in it. Also unfortunately we arrived when a country singer was performing and it was fairly loud.
