Don't miss stopping at Alabama Jack's on Card Sound Road if you're driving from Miami to the Keys. Live country music and country-cool ambiance.

This was my 5th trip to the Keys and finally I made it here! It was everything I expected it to be and it did not disappoint! My husband and I were able to stop on the way back from Key West and it was the perfect way to end a wonderful vacation. We sat under the covered area because... More

We had heard about this place for a couple of years. So on our trip to Florida City to visit the Everglades National Park, Biscayne National Park and Big Cypress National Preserve we decided one afternoon to go down to Alabama Jacks in Key Largo and have lunch. We got there around noon on a Sunday. Alabama Jacks is not... More

It may look tacky from the front but being on the canal is great. The live band was pleasant. We arrived before the lunch hour but it took over a hour to get our food. The staff are very friendly but they need help in the kitchen.

Stopped here on the way to Key Largo from Miami (turn Left onto Card Sound Road from US 1 in Homestead). Looks tatty from the outside, and tattier inside-plastic chairs and tables, food served on paper plates-but sit by the water and you might catch a 'gator' going past! Try the coconut shrimp-mmmm....mm. Not expensive and live music if you... More

This place is a must if you like fish, and are traveling through the Keys. Nothing fancy, very relaxed, just good, fresh fish. Great atmosphere at the side of the water, where there is lots of wildlife. Good service.

Take the Card Sound Road detour in Florida City and stop by Alabama Jacks. This place gives you a real feeling of the Keys. An eclectic combination of bikers and the moneyed crowd from Ocean Reef Club. The beers are cold and the conch fritters delicious, but the real reason is the ambiance. Sit next to the water and watch... More

Nothing could have prepared us better for the next seven days than a stop here. Lay back waterfront locals place a little off the beaten path. Love the food and drink and watching/feeding the fish. Don't miss it!

We went on a Sunday right before noon. Sat along the water. The service was prompt. We split a fish platter and a bowl of conch chowder. We both loved everything. Definitely worth the hour ride down from Miami.

Pros: Go for the conch fritter because it is delicious (and huge enough to share!) and because Alabama Jack's is a unique place and wonderful for people watching. Cons: However, the staff are disorganized (we watched more than one table track down their server and yell at them for not paying attention to their table. It appears almost everything on... More
