Good food, slow service

We stopped on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. It was crowded and the only table we could get was in the sun. The view of the water was lovely though. It took a long time to get our food, but it was good. We were starving by then. It's a quirky place with some odd characters. Worth the... read more

We had to drive up to Fort Lauderdale on the end of our vacation in Key west. This place got mixed reviews but more great reviews then bad, so before we left the keys we decided to hit it. Soooo glad we did! Huge portions for a great price! The sides, meals, help, the atmosphere! All great! Looks like a... More

Found this place by accident first time coming down to Key Largo/Key West. Now we make a point to stop here both coming and going. Best conch fritters out of south Florida, crab cakes are amazing. Great atmosphere (relaxing and low-key) with a water canal view. Very lovely.

We were told to try this place for Local Flavor..... Well maybe it does have a little "Local flavor" but it is dirty, hot with an indifferent waitstaff and marginal food at best. Once seated I discovered it was the scene of many a vandalized vehicle so I had my Husband move the car so we could keep an eye on... More

Alabama Jacks is one of the greatest places in the keys. It is out of Card Sound road. I have come down many times just to go to Alabama jacks. the staff has been the same for years and it is great bar. The Conch Fritters are the greatest in the Florida Keys. I have tried many other places in... More

I've been told numerous times that you must eat at Alabama Jacks if you are on your way through Key Largo. Well this year we finally made it a point to stop here. It's quite a bit out of the way. It's a decent spot on the water with decent bar food. Not sure why it is suck a big... More

DO NOT EAT HERE. We were robbed here by Alabama jacks!!! It's an inside job. Our food took for ever to make, then they forgot one of our orders just to get more time. After we payed the bill which was too much for what we ordered. All of our luggage was gone. We called the police. The officer said... More

We had high hopes for a last lunch before leaving our vacation in the Keys Service was slow, food poor ,and when we walked out after waiting over a hour for boiled shrimp and 2 grilled cheese found our van broken into and all our luggage, personal belongings had been stolen from our locked van Staff acted oddly suspicious and... This place is very welcoming to motorcycles with plenty of free parking right out front. The band plays mostly C&W. I recommend the conch fritters which have a hint of cinnamon in them. The crab cakes are 2 for $7 and you can actually see the crab in it. The fish spread served with Saltine crackers is a must, too.... More
