The manatees were the real stars!

Had read about this storied restaurant and was eager to visit but worried that the ambiance would not be good for kids. Even though it is definitely as much bar as restaurant, the kids were captivated by the twelve manatees that kept patrolling the area while we were there. The food was typical... read more

Their advertisements claim they have the best conch fritters. Not so! Lots of corn flour overpowers the fritters. The hard chunks of 'conch'? embedded in the flour are tasteless. The fries are soft and greasy. Finally the service is slooow. If you want to say you've been to this place, stop by but don't order the food.

We have been here countless times with family and with friends and have to say the drinks are awesome and usually the service is as well even when they are packed. However we went yesterday and the place had maybe 5-6 tables only we went at about 4pm. The service was horribly slow and the only good part was the... More

I've visited this place by land and sea. It always seems better by sea for some reason. Great laid back atmosphere. Decent food reasonable prices. The band is what you get in the Keys Classic Rock, and Buffett. Its more of an experience than anything. If the main road is backed up with traffic, take Card Sound road stop at... More

Our car was broken into while we were having lunch on Sunday. The police said they come to this place DAILY! and the owner refuses to put in cameras. They think its an inside job....if you go back to reviews 2-3 years back and its the same post. Long wait....waitress forgets part of your order and your window is busted... More

We have visited Alabama Jacks a couple of times and thought it was great--not this time. Service was good as usual, but we ordered the buffalo shrimp (it was okay), fish dip (couldn't taste anything but mayo) and conch chowder (it was horrible). Won't be going back again.

This is a great dive bar located at the foot of card sound toll bridge. This is the more scenic route to Key Largo giving you a view of the natural beauty of the keys. Alabama Jack's is an outpost in the middle of a mangrove jungle. The place is hoppin' with live music, dancing, and a good mix of... More

Stopped on our way back to Miami out of Tavernier, and enjoyed the Smoked Fish Dip and burgers. Nice relaxing view of an inland waterway made for an enjoyable lunch with an authentic Florida vibe.

It was not lunch time nor dinner time. Just around 2pm. The place was crowded, must be famous around here. We ordered just a dozen of wings and a piece of cake (not joking). The cake was served in hour. Why it took so long just to cut the cake? But that was just the bugging. We had to wait... More
