We can't even remember how long we've been going to this great South Florida spot - at least 25 years, and it is always consistently fun. First, let me say, the food is great. The Conch Fritters are incredible, actually quite a large mound, not wimpy, little bite-size croquettes like most places. Other favs includes the smoked fish pieces, fish... More

It's so much fun just getting to this hideaway bar, restaurant. The food is really good and the drinks are cold. The staff will make your day. Great food. Great atmosphere. A part of the Keys history.

This was the first time we took the Card Sound bypass rather than the normal Rt1 to Key Largo. During our ride we saw Alabama Jacks thought we should stop for lunch and a brew. What a cool place. Can't believe I've been missing this place during all my trips to the Keys.

It's exactly what you'd expect from a biker bar right as you hit the Keys--good, solid bar food, right on the water, staff with a little bit of attitude, and your first chance to sit down with a burger and a beer and say aaahhhhh after leaving the hustle of Miami. (We flew in to MIA, and after grabbing some... More

Sometimes when I'm coming from the Keys, I take Card Sound Road for the specific purpose of stopping in here. I also drop in sometimes when I happen to be in Homestead for other reasons. I always get a cold beer and finger food, like mozzarella sticks or smoked fish pieces. I also like the chili cheese French fries. At... More

Great place to start your trip down the keys, enjoy a Kahlik, and get on Island time. Best Conch Fritters I've ever had, and I try them everywhere! Also, delicious Conch Salsa appetizer, everything was really good, also friendly service, and great "Old Florida" atmosphere.

After seeing this place on TV, we had to stop in on our way to Key West. We arrived about 11:30am, and it was already getting busy. By noon most of the tables were filled. The servers were having to hustle, but they were pleasant and efficient. The conch fritters were huge and delicious. I've seen some reviewers complain about... More

Unlike the couple at the table behind us that dropped their car keys into the canal, our experience at Alabama Jacks was great. The food was excellent and the view was great. Our waitress was fun and made great recommendations for our lunch.

This funky bar/eatery, more than almost any other place in Florida, reminds me of the Keys I discovered almost 50 years ago. Great, down-to-Earth staff let you know immediately that you're among locals. Fresh fish and cold drinks served no nonsense, right on the canal just off historic Card Sound Road. This place just drips old, no nonsense Florida in... More

Some might call it a dive. Most visitors probably don't even notice Alabama Jack's just before the toll booth heading south on Card Sound Road. We made a special trip here As it is not far from the Ocean Reef Club where we were attending a business meeting. Basic and good food -- shrimp, conch fritters, Lima bean soup, burgers,... More
