Only Place in Town

This is an open air bar and is literally the "only place in town". They have excellent soups and advertise the "best" Conch Fritters in the keys. Although they are the biggest fritters I've ever had, I found them to be a bit too bready. A good place to stop when driving through the Keys.

Alabama Jacks isn’t difficult to find; it’s the only road-side business on Card Sound Road heading to Key Largo. It is just before the toll bridge. It is an interesting facility, with good water views, and a comfortable and casual ambience. Food is basic bar food, good, satisfying, but nothing exceptional. Prices were reasonable. Having stopped for lunch in late... More

If you're planning a trip down to the Keys, why not script in a stop at Alabama Jacks in Key Largo - lunch and a chance to stretch your legs. Right on the water, open air seating with a great breeze keeps things fun and refreshing. Even on a very busy Saturday lunch hour stop the wait and grill staff... More

A true honky tonk! This place makes history everyday with great smoked fish spread with jalapeños! Awesome grouper sandwiches! Cold beer! Rated by me as one of the best of best!

Someone on a cruise recommend this place so we gave it a try. It's a waterside covered porch with a bar. Had a vodka tonic and it was more tonic than anything else and it was served in a plastic cup. The fried shrimp tasted like frozen Gordon's Fishermans from the grocery store. The onion rings were all stuck together... More

We're glad we stopped at Alabama Jack's on our way to Key Largo. It was a good introduction to the eclectic, no-frills Keys vibe that we enjoyed for the rest of our vacation. The restaurant has "designated Harley parking" and all beer is bottled (no tap). All food is cooked to order (so service is slow) and food is served... More

A MUST stop when headed to the Keys but you won't get there by accident. When headed south, you turn left onto Card Sound road - keep the faith, even though you pass no other civilization, you can't get lost. I lovingly call these type places Seafood Dives. The conch fritters are special and big enough to share with 1-3... More

We took the long way home and stopped here for lunch because of the great reviews. We found the location unique with a beautiful view of the canal. We ordered the grilled mahi and mahi Reuben. The grilled was good, the Reuben was strange. I'd come back, and I'd love to be here for drinks in the evening, I bet... More

Biker Stop. Food was nothing special. Cold Beer Joint and a stop on the way to or from the Keys. Staff was not pleasant. Too Hot inside.
