We made a reservation at the Verandah based on hotel staff recommendations. It is a part of the Amelia Island Plantation resort where we stayed. The building and tennis club seemed kind of run down and in need of a face lift. The restaurant itself seemed a bit dated, but was nice and clean. It was so nice to go... more

We went on a Monday night and we were seated in a crowded area with the salad preparation area right behind my head (chop, chop,chop) then no bread for awhile, finally wine list which was very limited, service was very nice....but that can't make up for poor food, poor choices and then they add 18% to your bill for gratuity... more

Dont waste your time and money. We were hoping to get a nice quiet upscale place to eat upon arriving AIP. This was not it. Noisy, poor service, oversauced and heavy food, and stiff pricing make this a place to avoid. The gumbo we had had little character and the various seafood aps we tried were reasonably tasty but waaaay... more

My family and I dined at this restaurant this evening and are appauled at how such an "upscale restauant" can have such BAD SERVICE AND BAD MANAGEMENT!! We sent back a dish because it was just horrible, and did not order another meal. In turn, we recieved the bill just to see that the restaurant charged us for this AWFUL... more

My husband and I had dinner there 2 days ago. The service was good, friendly waitress but the food was just OK. I had the Red Snapper, which was good but had a very heavy, buttery sauce with it. I thought it was overwhelming. Anyway, nothing special for the price. more

Our Waiter Jeff was supurb. The food was delicious but not any better than some of the other places we went to. I was disappointed in the dessert. Our waitress Courtney was a sweetheart. We had just arrived at Amelia Island Plantation and were completely lost. She took the time to get us brochures and maps and found out what activities were going on, so that we would feel at home on vacation. You can't train a person to be so kind.
