The portions are reasonable (not overly huge), but extremely well prepared and presented. Wine list is extensive, and the service exceptional. A very enjoyable and pleasurable evening.

The chef special "steak and eggs" is a must-try. Beef filet is barely seared and served sliced, next to a 400-degree block of Himalayan salt. You cook your slice on the salt block to your desired doneness - maybe 10 seconds per side - and it's perfect! Two quail eggs sunny side up accompany this dish in a tiny skillet.... More

If you stay here, this is a must-do. Service is fabulous, food is incredible. Foie-gras was heavenly, seafood stew magnificent, bread divine, and all of the other dishes at our table were delicious.

We enjoyed a delicious dinner here, table for 4 on a Friday evening in July. The service was great and the whole meal was a wonderful experience. My husband enjoyed the tuna appetizer (it was a lot of tuna atop watermelon). I ordered the halibut and it was perfect- but the gnocchi that came with it was the star of... More

It was wonderful. Love the fact the Chef does not over salt the food. Service was outstanding. The only thing that bothered me was to many people coming to our table. A water girl, bread girl, server and food runner. It would have been nice to see the chef walk the floor a few times. Maybe a musician would have... More

My husband and I dined at Salt while staying at The Ritz-Carlton in Amelia Island. The decision to dine there was last minute - we had an 8:30 reservation. I'd definitely try to reserve an earlier time in order to see the sun set - the views are amazing. However, we could have been dining in an old garage and... More

I eat here every time I come to Amelia Island. The fish is so fresh. Make sure you try lots of different salts.

We went to the Salt for a special wedding anniversary ~ our 48th ~ and had a lovely evening! At first we couldn't get the 8:00 reservations we wanted ~ had to settle for 9:00 but got a call in the afternoon that moved us up to the desired 8:00 slot! Yay! We had a seat in front of the... More

The entire dining experience was amazing! Our Server was very professional. He knew every detail about the menu, he made some great suggestions on wine, never missed a beat. We had the chef pick out our dinner. The food and wine was fantastic! We ended dinner with a great dessert and a tour of the kitchen. We'll be back for... More

I specially liked the steak and eggs version of the chef, on a rock of salt. The halibut was excellent also.
