I was really looking forward to dinner at Salt and I was not disappointed . Located in the Ritz-Carlton on Amelia Island, this restaurant has everything going for it. From the moment we stepped out of our car we were made to feel welcome and special. The waitstaff was friendly, attentive, and very helpful. Our waitress explained about the different... More

My wife and I just returned from a weekend at The Ritz Carlton at Amelia Island. We had considered booking two dinners at Salt, but fortunately elected just one. A number of years ago we stayed there and enjoyed a wonderful meal at the old grill. The current operation pretends to be something it simply is not. They have gotten... More

I've eaten all over the country in some fine restaurants and this was perhaps the best experience I've ever had. I've also lived in Jacksonville for over 35 years and only recently really even heard of Salt - for some reason it isn't mentioned in the same breath as Morton's, Ruth Cris, III Forks, or any of our 'best' places... Very elegant setting, with a small bar area and unique seating area off to the side. Main dining room looks out over central hotel grounds which was decorated for the holidays. Staff was outstanding and food was excellent. Each course was brought out by a chef who described each dish. Live music was very enjoyable. A little pricey, but it's... More

This was the second time we’ve dined at Salt – both occasions being for my birthday. I have to admit this last experience left us a bit disappointed, mostly in the service (something that The Ritz-Carlton prides itself on). They did recognize my birthday and gave us a wonderful table by the window to view the Christmas lights. When our... More

This is our second time at Salt. My husband and each had soup, salad and shared an entree. Last time we made the mistake of ordering 4 course meals with wine pairings and that was very good, but way too much food for us. This time was perfect. The food is flawless, fresh, and with excellent presentation.

.On our most recent stay at the Ritz we were encouraged to try their "Salt the Grill restaurant". I am glad that we did. The environment is warm and welcoming, the food was superb, the presentation was fantastic and the service outstanding. The selection was so appealing that I decided to order several different kinds appetizers rather than the traditional... More

My wife and I decided to drive up to Amelia Island for Thanksgiving dinner. We were very pleased with the food, and service. The restaurant would have had a better view than the banquet hall, but everything else was wonderful.

My wife and I had our Anniversary dinner here. We chose the 4 course blind tasting with wine pairings. It was great. They asked about food allergies and dislikes, then the rest is up to them. Wonderful wines, soup, chicken, beef and dessert. Not too many details because I don't want to spoil any surprises, but it was worth it.
