I live local and go by this place all the time. I remember when it was just a place to drink. This place usually has a full parking lot too, so you know folks go there. I've eaten there with my wife and we weren't overly impressed. I'll take this place over Mulligans any day! Service was okay and food... More

Sorry you don't like us, Jeff. We have a great local following of customers who really enjoy our consistently good food, wonderful tiki atmosphere, tropical beverages, 2 outdoor bars and fabulous local musicians, as well as great home-smoked specials on the weekends! More

Ate there with friends just prior to their closing time in December and the waitress was chatting on the phone and not paying much attention to our questions about the menu. The food was decent, a pasta/seafood mix, but the place really is a dive and some of the locals hang there with whom you really wouldn't want to meet... More

So let me get this straight - you just now remembered that you ate at Kona in December? You obviously forgot what we serve, since pasta/seafood is not on our menu, nor has it ever been on our menu. Regarding our customers, we have a wonderful mix of retirees, young families, friendly fishermen, motorcycle enthusiasts, beachgoers and singles of all... More

We live only 10 minutes from Kona and didn't go to it until recently but very glad we did. It has a beach type atmosphere with great food and drinks. Its menu has a wide selection with sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, plus many other items. Highly recommended place in Jensen Beach.

A funky, Hawaiian-themed restaurant with lots of outdoor seating, the front patio being dog-friendly (which is what drew us to this restaurant in the first place). It took forever to decide what to order because everything on the menu sounds fantastic and many options are unique to this restaurant - fun and tasty variation to traditional menu items like Shrimp... Their is live music and adorable atmosphere. You can sit at either 2 bars or their adirondack chairs with tiki feel umbrellas set in the sand . It gives a good vibe to your soul. You feel relaxed and stress free. The service is a little slow during the day but its worth it.

Went tonight with a party of 16. We arrived shortly after six and Happy hour was over. We asked for a mohito but they had no mint. Asked for a white Zinfandal wine and they had none. Ordered the tuna but they had no wasabi. Played the trivia game for 20% off your bill and they collected the bill before... More

I'm very sorry that you had a bad experience. My manager came to your table and offered to adjust your bill since you had won the trivia contest, and he was told that it wasn't necessary as you were leaving and your children were restless. He also checked on you several times and was told each time that everything was... More

We stopped here based on the reviews and desire to eat at a place that is not a chain while on vacation. It is very much a unique dining experience as everything is outdoors but covered by various trees and canopies. The atmosphere is great. Just walk in, find a seat or table, and get started. This is not a... More

We've only visited Jensen Beach twice (so far) but have been to Kona more times than we can count. The food is pretty much always great, regardless of what you order, it's not too expensive, and the atmosphere is unbeatable if you're looking for a beach/surf vibe. They have cornhole and live music (some nights) and the entire restaurant is... More

While vacationing in Hutchison Island, my family was looking for another restaurant to try. We settled on Kona. Upon entering, we were told to seat ourselves. There were plenty of open tables, but none that seated 7. We asked a waitress if they could accommodate us and she shrugged her shoulders and seemed annoyed that we were breaking the "seat... More

I'm sorry that you were offended by our relaxed "seat yourself" policy. Most of our customers like to decide where to sit as we have several different areas: our front bar and deck under the authentic Seminole-built tiki hut, our nonsmoking covered courtyard near our entertainment, and our Outback with it's tropical plants and rustic bar. We do allow smoking... More
