I can't say pizza was the best ever; but the pasta dishes were terrific; I have probably tried all: could not tell u my favorite; eggplant WS excellent as well; good food; great price and great portions: with a crowd place does get noisy; it is reminiscent of the neighborhood family restaurants.…

You can't beat the $1 slices of pizza and house wine on Thursdays! I assumed the slices of pizza would be small and not very good but they don't disappoint! The only issue is that sometimes it's a little too loud but that can't really be helped. We enjoy going almost every week!

Was a bit disappointed since my friends had given it so much hype about the pizza. We had the White pizza, with chicken added. It was good, but there was NO seasoning. All of us added a huge amount of salt, oregano, and garlic pwd just so that we could taste it. It was decent pizza for the price; but... More

Didn't make special trip as we were visiting JAX Beach with out of towners and had heard of Al's Pizza. The pizza crust was "floppy" and not what we were hoping in a thin crust pizza. The service was good, we sat outside and enjoyed the people watching but won't be going back.

Al's Pizza has been on our menu each time we visit Jacksonville. The kids love the pizza and the house salad is very good. Great atmosphere and wonderful service. We will keep coming back.

I grew up in NYC and have traveled to Italy several times. Al's pizza looks like pizza, but it tastes like it came from a box. As in cardboard. It's also noisy, and tables are too close together. Service is indifferent. Too many other options to waste my time and money here.

There are times when a pizza and beer are the only thing to hit the spot, and when that time comes, you have to visit Al's. Great pizza, and without the crowds and noise and yuppies you find filling the Mellow Mushroom. Great pie, and a good selection of beer.

The next time you can afford to go out to eat don't choose als pizza! I recently ate there and saw roaches crawling up the wall in the dining area!!!! I ordered a salad and it looks like a pile of s*** for $12. I also took notice service sucks! I also saw employees not washing their hands making food.... More
