Description: Quaint New England style cottage serving an authentic New England lunch of...
Quaint New England style cottage serving an authentic New England lunch of New England Clam Chowdah, & Lobstah Bisque, heavenly Lobster Rolls on split top buns, Ipswich Full Belly Clams, Fresh Haddock Fish, Sea Scallops, beautiful Mayport Shrimp. All lightly battered and fried to perfection. All sides and sauces are made at A La Carte, none of that store bought stuff. Plus, we have delicious Lump Crab Cakes Sandwich and Combination Platters of above Seafood items. For the non-seafood eaters we also have a New England Cranberry Chicken Salad, chef delicious Meatloaf Sandwich, Smoked BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich, jumbo dipped and grilled Hot Dog on Split top bun. Our quaint facility has walls lined with Boston Bean Town Sport memorability to look at . GEE! I almost forgot we serve "Moxie" and have a small area of wonderful mini museum of Moxie artifacts to look at. A La Carte is a classic mom and pop run facility that you don't see anymore. We also offer Catering for off premise events. That menu is completely different than our Lunch menu we serve. We hope you come visit and enjoy a bit of delicious food, great atmosphere and sit on our colorful picnic tables or eat inside at out checkered cloth tables. It's a total family affair so come and be a part of our family at A La Carte.

We've been back many times. The food is authentic New England seafood. I always get the lobster roll and my husband gets to whole belly fried clams. Thumbs up for both. The cottage is adorable and loaded with lots of memorabilia. On a nice day, the deck is perfect. There are entrees available to take home like lobster mac and... More

We had the great fortune of checking out "A La Carte!" In Jacksonville Beach while in town recently. Tucked away on a small side street in a tiny Yellow Sea bungalow the food was simply amazing. Fresh New England Lobster rolls and real whole belly fried clams flown in from Maine! Of course the Chef is from Maine! We tried... More

Very true delicious New England Food. Lobster Roll looked fab. Husband I enjoyed medium bowls of New England Clam Chowder. Best chowder, I have ever had. Menu is on chalk board. Serve your self drinks in cooler. VERY VERY Casual dining experience. Outdoor seating available picnic style. Expensive but worth every bite. Convenient location close to beach. Location A1A and... I've seen this place a hundred times and finally met some friends there for lunch. Luckily there was one empty table. This place is really small. Most of their business is catering and take out. We ordered at the counter from the menu on the wall. The drinks are all cans or bottles. The food was served very quickly and... More

Hi I am glad that you enjoyed being at A La Carte, but I have to say as the owner, and server person, I have to defend our Fried Shrimp Basket with French Fries and Slaw that is $13.95. These shrimp are 21-25ct Shrimp (8) that are Fresh, Butterflied and Fried in Expensive Oil, not the run of the mill... More

Walmart. Wife and I went there with the intentions of spending $35 on a nice and easy sit down Sunday brunch, right? But the food was soooo freakin delicious we broke the budget and took home a lobster pie!! It took the hand of God to pull me away from the FRESH fried butterfly shrimp, the BUTTERY SOFT lobster roll... More

Being from New England, this sounded like the place for us. The building is adorable and Jennifer so nice. We ordered a clam chowder,a lobster bisque and two lobster rolls. We asked if the rolls were done with mayo or butter.it is my firm belief it has to be butter. We were told they do mayo but could do butter instead.... More

Oh I am so sorry that you didn't like the plain Lobster Roll with warm butter on the side that you requested. If you wanted the Lobster Roll warmed you should have asked, the butter was warmed that was served with it. We don't make our Lobster Rolls this way normally and we tried to accommidate you with what you... More

I can't believe I had never heard of this place! Had a wonderful lunch today. The place is small and quaint. Very clean and pleasant. You feel like you are in New England! Lobster Rolls are fantastic! They fly the lobster in from up north. The roll was grilled and filled with lots of tasty lobster. The shrimp basket is... More
