Mom has wanted to stop in here. Why did we wait so long! We had a lovely Saturday lunch of salads and crab cakes. What a peaceful time. Banana bread was delicious and I wanted more before mine was gone! Treat yourself.

Excellent food, great ambiance, and great service. It was our anniversary and they made us feel welcomed with a customized menu. My husband had the raspberry stuffed chicken and I had the stuffed portabella mushroom. Everything was cooked to order. For dessert we shared the creme brulee. We will definitely go again.

My husband and I were in the area on Friday night for dinner. Although we've visited this restaurant once before, I had not tried the Sea Bass. The dish was phenominal; the best Sea Bass I've ever tasted. Great job chef! The wait staff were very accommodating as well. We will dine here again soon.

This restaurant has it all--delightful ambience, delicious food, and excellent service. Their daily specials are always delicious and you should definitively give their homemade soups a try. For an appetizer I would highly recommend their stuffed artichokes (although their other appetizers are delicious, as well). And save room for dessert! The gluten-free chocolate torte is scrumptious, the bread pudding is... More

The Mcleod House Bistro is one of our favorite places for special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries. The menu always has some very creative choices and the food is always delicious. On several occasions there has been a gentleman playing softly on a keyboard. Normally I don't like music during a meal because it intrudes on the conversation, but that... More

My husband and I were taken here for our birthday by our daughter. Had escargot (excellent) and Bruschetta (v. good)for appetizer, mushroom soup (unbelievably good) instead of salad, pork chop (good) w/potato pancake (ehh-not done enough) & braised cabbage (again..ehh)along with Chilean sea bass that was only so-so (according to my husband). Desserts were key lime pie w/mile-high meringue w/lime... More

Inverness is just a small town in Central Florida yet there is a quaint restaurant with great food. I can feel the love of food by the chef. Chilean Sea Bass was so well made and juicy, chef couldn't have done it better. Duck breast medium rare was quite good though I thought the sauce was too creative for my... More

We stumbled upon Mcleod House Bistro on our way back to Tampa after visiting Rainbow Spring yesterday and we were so delighted to find this place. Although we were dressed in beach clothes and with an infant, we were welcomed right away. We had a terrific server who was willing to cater to our food allergies with a smile. The... More

Great food. I love the scallops and spinach. They have great appetizers, and the key lime pie is worth the visit on its own. The staff is friendly and courteous.

If you have not visited the McLeod House Bistro in Inverness yet, you could be in for a real treat. We have dinned there over the years numerous times and it has always been a pleasurable experience. Granted, it is a bit more up-scale and pricey, than the usual run of the mill restaurants in the area, but the food... More
