Reservations are a must during peak season. Even with reservations we still had to wait about 15 minutes for our table (but we had a large group). Oysters were fresh and steak was cooked perfectly! Sides were average, large portions. Service was excellent, very attentive server. Parking is a minimum unless you valet. Fairly expensive but definitely a fine dining... More

The food was just okay. Mashed potatoes were cold. The "bearnaise" on the Oscar was some sort of Mayo/sour cream and tarragon. Was not good. Everything was also very salty.

After 2 weeks in Florida and visiting a number of very average restaurants excluding the Capital Grill in Orlando (very good) this place just across the road from our apartment was wonderful. Staff friendly and the place had a nice buzz, like a hive working in harmony. We had the Calamari to start which with the Asian dip was very... More

We have been making annual trips to the Salt Rock for the past four years during our visit to the beach. We love getting dressed up and enjoying a delicious dinner with appetizers, wine, steak, and dessert! We always make reservations and have had excellent experiences! The shrimp cocktail is the best we've found in the area! The fresh bread... More

One of the best meals that we have had in this part of Florida. A warm welcome as we arrived and it looks like all tables have a view of Boca Ciega Bay. We had Caprese and calamari for appetisers - the calamari deserves special mention because it was cooked at the right temperature for the right length of time... More

We went around 7pm with a group of 12. Service was decent considering our group size. Food was wonderful! Fresh seafood, cooked nicely. Appetizers and dessert was wonderful. But my favorite was my drink. I'm really picky with drinks and I ordered the Burning Rocks martini. It was amazing! If you like spicy. And really cool. I usually like to... More

Having travelled to Florida for many vacations the Salt Rock Grill was always on my list of go, but it never happened. On November 2013 we went for the first time.... amazing food and service. We went to the "Early Bird special" ....excellent choices. I had the mile high meatloaf and my husband had a fish dish. Served with fresh... More

We visited here after a recommendation from a friend!! Great place for a special night out!! I would highly recommend reservations! Truffle Mac n cheese was to die for! Our table had the grilled King Crab Legs, School of Fish, grilled Oysters in the shell, Ahi Tuna, Filet Mingon, meatloaf and Key Lime pie. Can't go wrong with any thing!!

Atmosphere nice. Parking adequate.staff polite. Drinks good and very expensive. Sea bass smelled very strong. Not a very big piece for the cost. Steak OK. $150.00 later, not much to say that stood out and was outstanding. Walts Restaurant in Johns Pass, now have I no problem spending that kind of money there. Guaranteed a great meal there and a... More

We ate here the second night in town and it was a beautiful evening, so we sat out on their deck. The had a musician playing good, tasteful music (and quietly!) which was nice and the food was absolutely outstanding! Our service was excellent as well. Dishes that were ordered in our group was steak (perfect!), crab cakes (some of... More
