Went there for lunch and several times for very good ice cream. A lot more seating than you think. Most of it is outside. The cuban sandwiches are very good. Prices are reasonable. Super casual. They don't seem to know about the saying "No Shirt, No Service." This might be because people walk in off of the beach. Very friendly... More

A tiny little pace right off the beach with great food and great service. You can walk right off the beach at 8th Avenue and get lunch to eat there or take to the beach! Cute little place - and they just put chairs on the beach for patrons! really nice!

My husband & I checked this place out for dessert after dinner and we are so glad we did. The woman working there was so friendly & helpful, she let us sample a few flavors without complaint. My husband had a slightly complicated order, but it was no trouble for her and she had a great attitude about it. Ice... More

We take all our visitors for the walk to Kooky Coconut. Excellent Ice Cream, generous portion, at a reasonable price then a short walk up to the beach. Get your ice cream cone and watch the sunset!

This place is one block from where I stayed (see Sunshine Cozy Cottages review) and what a treat! 21 flavors of home-made ice cream that are served in the biggest scoops I've ever seen. Outside seating under umbrella tables make a great place to enjoy the yum. They also serve lunches and have take out beverages, but ice cream was... More

Located at the entrance to public beach access is a definite plus. Great Cubans, burritos & cold beer. Every night just before sunset, crowds would flock to the beach to view the spectacle of the sun disappearing in the ocean. Many of these people (especially those with children) would stop at Kooky Coconut for ice cream. Always packed and friendly... More

We had a one scoop serving of ice cream that was larger than expected. Salted Caramel and Butter Pecan were wonderful!! The ice cream was so creamy and flavorful. We ate lunch prior to our visit and wished we had waited to eat the Cuban sandwiches. They looked SO good. The place is small but very cozy, and the staff... More

This small, narrow eatery immediately makes you feel at home, with its little tables, slowly turning fans overhead, reed mats along the counter, and signs announcing local happenings. We went there to try their pressed Tampa Cuban sandwich. My wife, who is from this area, called ours one of the two best she has ever had. There are many other... More

We always frequent the Kooky Coconut when staying in Indian Rocks Beach. We usually have the Cuban sandwiches, which are delicious and conveniently come in a couple of sizes depending on how hungry we are. We have also had the Chicken pesto sandwich, which also delicious and comes pressed like the Cuban. Ice cream is great, too. Nice selection of... More
