Had a lovey meal and the service was good but the bill was a bit large for what we had. Nice to sit in and watch the sunset
Great setting and view of the gulf. Nice portions of food for the price. Food was average, drinks were cheaper than expected. Servers were friendly. Only negative was we had to pay for water. Ice cream shop there made the waffle cones by hand in front of us and the price was cheap. Tiki bar was huge and live band... More
I arrived at Sam's just after opening on a Sunday, and sat overlooking the water, which was nice. You could see the boats coming and going through the channel. It was a gorgeous view. Food was the typical Florida beach bar setup. Staff needs to learn difference between dairy and non-dairy. Coconut shrimp were tasty. I had a class of... More
This is the perfect deck bar to have a drink and watch the sun set on the Gulf. This bar gets very very crowded on weekends so go early. They do not take reservations and you must put your name on a list. If they call you, and you are not there, they move on to the next person on... More
Nice Gulf view, Good music. recently new menu. Wife had shredded pork sliders (nice plate good taste) , I had Blackened grouper Reuben very good, a bit pricey. Looking at other tables, Fried Calamari, Mahi tacos and shrimp Po Boy. All good sized plates and everyone seemed satisfied.
Sam's Beach Bar is a great place for good food, great music and most of all...beautiful sunsets!!! When ever we are in or around Hudson we stop in at Sam's Beach Bar. We did not make it there is time (Sept 2013) because we stayed in Tampa. But we will be back.
We took our kids and some family (out of state) there over the weekend, and let me start off by saying that we waited for 45 minutes before getting a table, and once seated, it took our server Angel another 13 minutes to come and greet us and get our drink orders (UNACCEPTABLE). Then we waited 10 more minutes to... More
After performing in Hudson at a care center. Our troupe decided to stop at Hudson beach for some lunch! Our server was friendly but seemed to disappear often! Well we got our food ordered and we all sat outside enjoying the ocean breeze. Food was tasty and our whole table enjoyed lunch. Took our server a few minutes to straighten... More
The only thing spectacular about this place is the view - it's on the Gulf of Mexico right by Hudson Beach but other than that it's blah. If you want to catch a sunset and have a couple drinks (and spend some money doing that) then fine but don't bother eating here.
Drinks and food are over priced. You have to pay for water and refills. Food just ok. Great view but hot and uncomfortable outdoors at this time of year. Probably won't go back.
