Restaurant/Bar in an old seafood freezer on the water where boats bring in their fresh catch. Amazing shrimp, fish dip and stone crabs. A lot of local controversy around restaraunt so it is becoming very popular.

Nothing From the Freezer here!!!!

How about fresh steamed mussels in hot butter? Or, steamed shrimp by the bucket? What about the clam chowder? I tried them all and they were fabulous. Sit high up and watch the boats come in. Not fancy but worth the wait!

Probably the best steamed spicy shrimp we have ever eaten! Large, perfectly cooked, juicy, and deveined but still having the shells on then...loved the rustic atmosphere of this restaurant located inside an old commercial freezer on an inlet where boats come in, park and enjoy cold beer and steamed seafood...don't go looking for fried as other than a few sandwiches... We were advised to visit the Freezer by one of the locals. It's location not well signed, so get directions. It's one of the most unusual places that I have dined. It's actually an old freezer and the place is a bit of a dump, but boy are their steamed shrimp delicious and the prices are reasonable! The place always... More

Quirky atmosphere, very busy. Apparently, not able to purchase or plan for recent crowds because our favorites were not available on a Monday night. Steamed shrimp was great as usual!

Must order their peel and eat shrimp and chowder. Great place to take all of the family. Have been several times over the years and always have enjoyed the experience.

Meet some friends who live in the area. We used our GPS and still had a hard time finding the place. They open at 11 and we arrived around this time. Place was full with local winter tourist. Shrimp was the best pick off the menu. We didn't care for the smoked mullet dip .We enjoyed our meal have had... More

This place absolutely reaks character and life. There is an eclectic mix of people which I love. It has a relaxed and easy feel. The staff are all enthusiastic, warm and friendly. The shrimp is to die for and doesn't cost the earth. I visit every time I'm in the area and will continue to.

We heard a lot of great things place about The Freezer, but we were disappointed. Order an appetizer to prepare for the wait. We had the Smoked Mullet Dip which was really good. The clam chowder was alright. We had to wait 20+ minutes for our smoked mullet and then it wasn't good. There is a constant line, even to... More

Knew about this and then found it on a Sunday at 11.30, queue already forming. Returned for my birthday, what a unique brilliant place. Rough and ready with no frills but fabulous food and atmosphere. Highly recommended

The Lawson's who own this freezer took a piece of sand and made it a Pearl. Great food and great place.
