Built around a large out of date freezer, The Freezer is one on the best ideas for a restaurant and bar located in a wonderful scenic setting.

This was our second time eating at the Freezer. My niece found it and recommended it for the steamed crabs. We were hoping to have crabs again, but they had all been shipped north....better prices, I guess. Since there were no crabs on the menu, I searched the wall and settled upon the shrimp. I ordered a full pound...good sized... More

We stopped here with our family of five. Shrimp was good, but a very limited menu and not ideal for family. It is ideal for some steamed shrimp and a beer though.

Looking for 5 star service, white table cloths, and fine china?? Well, this ain't the place!! This is the mac daddy of old time Florida cracker lifestyle places! The bar & restaurant are inside an old seafood freezer building. Nothing fancy here. Just a concrete floor, bar, tables in side and dockside, COLD beer and great food. The place is... More

Back to the Freezer for their great shrimp and it seems Blue Moon beer (with the orange slice) goes best with it. This is a great place to go dressed as you are, but go early to get a seat inside. I promise you won't be disappointed.

A local at Weeki Wachee suggested this restaurant. We were looking for a local place on the water. We were very pleased with everything about The Freezer. The food was great. Beer in buckets were great too. I would definitely eat here again on my next visit to this area of Florida.

There is nothing fancy about this place. Drinks come in plastic, disposable cups. Food is served in styrofoam containers. You queue up at the bar to order and they bring it out to you. But, my gosh, the food is good. Really, really good. And very reasonable. We ordered tilapia and crab legs and shrimp. As we were ordering, the... More

The peel and eat shrimp were great! There were 56 shrimp in our "full order," which was slightly over 2 pounds. Clam chowder was very good, and I don't normally like chowder. Skip the chips and salsa. Good drink specials. $2 Blue Moon ($7 pitcher) and other beers. $5/pitcher for lower end. $3 Bloody Mary. Other reviewers mentioned trouble finding... More

As a local who is always trying new places i can't believe i had never been here, i loved the simplicity of this place. You over to the side of the bar that clearly states order here look up to your left and find the full menu hanging up. My husband and i shared the large order of peel and... More
