This is just such a neat place with the greatest bird show on the water one could imagine. However, the restaurant is poorly managed. It is significantly understaffed and unorganized resulting in impatient customers and overworked staff. The food is only average for the price but the bird show on the dock is what will bring the customers in. This... More

We stopped for a late lunch. Wait was not long for the food. The shrimp in the shrimp and grits are cooked to perfection. Hubby had the grouper. It was grilled just right. Will be back for sure! Use gps , a bit off the beaten path

We bought seafood from their store a few times in December. Beware, not everything they sell is fresh. One time we bought little neck clam around 4pm, but by 6pm when we were ready to cook them, there was a strong foul odor from the clams. It turned out many had died (shell open). The clams were put on ice... More

You come here for the freshest seafood and great atmosphere. It is not fast and most of the time you have to wait in line a long time. However, it has always been worth it and does remind us to slow down and soak up the rays.

Lunch on the dock at Cortez is to experience a taste of the real Florida. The venue is very interesting and the fish is quite good and fresh. Expect an hour's wait after ordering before you get your food. This strikes me as totally excessive and surely unnecessary. Given that seating is limited the crowds can and do build up.

Overall, the food was very good, but they 'spindled' a.k.a. Lost one of our orders. The rest of our party had finished their food before ours was delivered. The manager grudgingly agreed to comp for one of the dinners, but his first offer was to pay for our drinks (water and a Coke). Don't need to go back there again... More

We used to visit here often. The food was good, so the atmosphere and it was affordable. Now you have to battle impatient snowbirds and overworked employees. The friendly faces who used to work here are gone. The prices went up a lot and your order gets taken by a grouchy face. Seating is sparse. Hey people, you don't need... More

We didn't eat here but we did pick up some very fresh tuna that we seared on the grill. It was wonderful. Friends of ours love this place. They have a large variety of fish available and you can dine on the water and enjoy the harbor too. Not an upscale place at all. Relax, dress down, and eat some... More

Great location right on the water. You eat on picnic benches and food comes in a cardboard box. AMAZING Shrimp. Fresh fish. They also have a fish market. NO credit cards; cash only! Worth a visit!

Called five mins before closing as got lost. They kept the kitchen open for us and then we found out they only take cash! But they agreed to take a check. Then the food arrived abd and wow. Best mahi mahi sandwich ever! Simply outstanding food and great service. You have to visit.
