Baklavaaaaaah

Sometimes we just pop in for baklava, food is great but 6 different types of baklava are a must try. Probably the best baklava in Hollywood.

Nice family restaurant. We had several hot and cold tasty appetizers. As a main course our choice was doner kebap which is served with a selection of either rice or bulgur, and grilled tomatoes. The portions are generous. Our server Tanya was very attentive and friendly. For desert we shared what is called a 'kunefe' that tasted yummy and full... More

My wife and I have been frequenting A La Turca for about five years, starting in their prior location on Hollywood Boulevard. Originally, the restaurant was recommended by a Turkish friend, and we were very excited to dine there. I must tell you that my wife and I loved the place immediately. We have been there many times since, and... More

Discovered this restaurant while looking for a healthy place to eat lunch. The restaurant is large and nicely appointed. Both the owner and waiter were cordial and attentive. My wife and I both ordered the chicken kabob platter. The waiter cordially permitted us to substitute grilled vegetables for the rice which normally accompanies this dish. In fact he gave us... Well, this is quite a find on Harrison St. in Hollywood FL. We decided to sample as much as possible so finally selected the Hot Mezze Platter, and the cold Mezze platter with beef liver tips as a meat dish. It was FANTASTICO!! Our server Pavlo was so courteous and attentive. Everything was seasoned to perfection and we finally relented... More

My husband and I went to A La Turca on the last evening of our trip to the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood area. I picked it based on the availability of vegetarian food and the reviews on TripAdisor - plus we both like middle-eastern food. There were many wonderful options to choose from for both vegetarians (like me) and non-vegetarians (like my... More

I've rated this restaurant higher after previous visits, but our last two dinners suffered attention from the kitchen and the wait staff. I really hope they recover. Five of us went last night to celebrate a birthday. We ordered a bottle of wine and two drinks. One drink came right away, followed by the bottle of wine, and then an... More

Everything we ate was fresh and delicious. The flatbreads were terrific as was the lamb. Not an off- note on the menu. Try the Turkish wines you'll be surprised. They are excellent. Everything wonderful right up through the coffee and baklava. Restaurant relaxing, comfortable and nicely decorated. Ike our waiter was fantastic. Wish we had a place like this at home!

Very well cooked food in a great setting - the restaurant is nicely laid out and decorated, quite a classy place. Staff were very friendly and helpful in advising choices and accommodating different requests. And the food itself was great - the hummus and tabbouleh were fresh and not at all flat tasting, as sometimes they can be. The pide... More

We were lucky to find a place that was able to take my family and I on a Valentine's Day at 4:30pm without reservation and, on top of that, to have a very nice experience. We had the sample dish and everything was very yummy. We also ordered a traditional dessert (It had cheese and pistachios) and Turkish coffee and... More
