Leisurely "old world" dinner

Have been meaning to dine here for years and glad we finally did. Small and cozy the decor is like being in my grandmother's eccentrically cluttered house. Dinners were all excellent and portions manageable . Bread and salad (one flaw was they forgot to serve the salad)! were excellent. Loved the... read more

The fool was excellent but it is one of the places you need to take money but that is common in Gulfport, FL

We've eaten there several times and always had great service and food. The place is decorated with so much kitch that it may take you awhile to see all of it.. fun stuff. However, we didn't know at first that they add 15% tip onto the bill and proceeded to give the waiter a 20% tip. Buyer beware! they do... More

Ate here our first night in Gulfport for a month stay. It is a flash back to 30 years ago but the waiter was very kind and the food was quite enjoyable. We were not in a rush.

We went for dinner New Year's Eve, wondering how it would be given the wide range of reviews here. They did not jack up prices for New Years Eve, which was one of the reasons we tried the restaurant. The decor is very European, with lots of lace and red velvet, along with many religious symbols (not sure what was... More

I cannot write about the food because we left after waiting a long time. Despite having read reviews about bad service we went there for dinner, having been tempted by a coupon. They were not even that busy, only 3 other tables had customers!! We then went across the street and had a very good meal at Neptune's grill.

Waited 2.5 hrs for an ok soup and goose pate. I will never come back here again. We asked to speak with a manager and were informed that our server was the manager as well as the owners son. After not getting our pate we asked for the check and wanted to get out of here. 15% was automatically charged... More

Some friends suggested we ate here as they had had dinner there previously and quite enjoyed it. It all seemed very efficient when we arrived; greeted at the door, shown to a table and.......well nothing really. We sat for what seemed like an age before anyone paid us any attention but eventually someone asked if we'd like a drink while... More

So, we wanted to try something French in the Gulfport area one evening. It does have an old world feel, but I would rather that they cut back on, or clean up the decor because one gets the feeling that the tabletops, covered with red satin textile, have not been changed or freed of dust in a great while. The... More

A very romantic setting, soft lighting, and formal setting. Seemed a little dingy and wonder if the decor has been dusted. The food was delicious but the service was very slow. Romantic is restful and easy going but when you wait half an hour to get menus and another for your food, it is a little long. We will go... More
