Description: Peg's is a renovated bungalow nestled in Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg with an outdoor patio (surrounded by Florida native fauna), a covered Indoor-Outdoor porch and an inside bar with 3 tables. The cuisine is a fusion of New American and Mexican. Cycle Brewing began at Peg's and is still the hallmark of good beer at the Cantina, but there are always a couple of guest taps. The wine menu is priced at $23 bottles and $33 bottles. Many offered by the glass. The list targets Latin American and Spanish wineries.

My mother lives down the street and I make it a point to eat at Peg's whenever I'm on town..which is pretty frequent. Last night I had the sweet potato and black bean burrito and the Brussels sprouts. My mother had the yard bird wrap. Both were great, but the prices seemed to have increased. I was particularly disappointed that... More

Service was attentive and courteous. Menu is relatively limited which I like. Unfortunately they were out of my first choice of appetizers. Slightly on pricey side but cant complain about portions as this is more tapas style. In house microbrews from Cycle Brewing were pretty good....I had the flight. Ambience rustic but clean. Would probably go back but with so... More

I found the restaurant to be a nice quaint place to eat. They have outside and inside dining. Very small tables inside. We were a party of 6 and it was crowded. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. For me the food was so-so, I had the Fish Spread and Crab cakes. I have had better Fish Spread, this... More

It's the place to find delicious and imaginative cuisine. Try the smoked chicken with sweet potato pure and grilled brussel sprouts. Or the fabulous cheese plate. The very best pot de creme dessert you'll ever find. Attractive indoor / outdoor seating. Don't mss Peg's.

The hummus platter was the only good thing we had here. So disappointed in the changes. The food is not even ok, and small portions for the money. Will not be going back.

What a delightful place to sip, munch and linger with friends. Fascinating menu with tapas, small plates and some larger offerings. The fried mussels were exceptional! So many other things to try, and the pot de creme with a ginger snap bottom was special. If you like coffee and dark beer, their Cream & Sugar is amazingly light with a... More

As noted in other reviews, this has changed from a Mexican place to a tapas restaurant - and the prices had increased. The food is really very good, and can be very interesting (like the asparagus and egg), the seating is good (outdoors, tables a good distance from one another), service is good, but it is one of the more... I understand adding new items but the complete overhaul of the menu was shocking since I have been going there since it opened. There are other places in the Tampa Bay area where you can get the type of tapas that are on the menu now. It used to be unique and have its own flavor. I just wanted a... More

We understand the new menu is not for everyone, but there is a factual error in this review. The Crab Quesadilla is on the menu. It is one of the few items that never went off menu. The Shrimp Burrito is, as stated, no longer on the menu. More

Visiting friends that live in Gulfport and low and behold found Peg"s. Everyone ordered crab cakes a beet salad (except me) I had the Gazpacho plus the shrimp. Both were excellent! We had a terrific waiter named Josh, he was SPOT ON! Try the different beers from Cycle Brewing, One of the best lunches I had on our ten day... More

They have a wonderful atmosphere, the wait staff us usually great, the beer is always great and the food we had on the many occasions we were there in the past was very good. Last night was an extreme disappoint. If I wanted to try "something new", I would have gone somewhere else. I wish them the best but doubt... More
