Peg's is a renovated bungalow nestled in Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg with an outdoor patio (surrounded by Florida native fauna), a covered Indoor-Outdoor porch and an inside bar with 3 tables. The cuisine is a fusion of New American and Mexican. Cycle Brewing began at Peg's and is still the hallmark of good beer at the Cantina, but there are always a couple of guest taps. The wine menu is priced at $23 bottles and $33 bottles. Many offered by the glass. The list targets Latin American and Spanish wineries.

Freda Kahlo Themed Brew Pub and Cantina

This has always been one of our go-to places in Gulfport and it will continue to be so. The artsy Mexican theme is topped by all sorts of homages to Freda Kahlo. Even the check is presented inside a little feda kahlo themed box. The cooking is quite creative and as such, this is not your typical... read more

As a homebrewer, I can really appreciate the quality of Peg's hand-crafted beers. I had a Scottish Ale and two different IPA's. The Scottish Ale was extremely well done, but the IPA's were some of the best I have ever tasted. #1 was called "Crank" and was dry-hopped with Citra, a hop known for it's citrus flavor and hints of... Charming converted bungalow featuring home-made dishes and locally crafted beer. My wife and I split a 4-cheese tortilla pizza (very good) and the pork burrito (great). The Golden Helmet IPA was very well done as well. Our server, Kelsi, was pleasant and attentive. Would definitely return.

We were on our way home from a pre-season ball game and looking for a brew pub. We were following our GPS and wondered if it was leading us astray as we were going through a residential area... but it led right to a very quaint old town area on a body of water. Very picturesque. Peg's had a lot... More

Have dined at Peg's too many times to count since they opened at their previous location in Gulfport. The menu items are all good, from the food to the beverage offerings. Food is made fresh and many of the draught beer is brewed on site! A real treat for the adventurous! The wine offerings are all good and reasonably priced.... More

Wonderful atmosphere. Great food. Good beer and wine. Ate outside and really enjoyed our evening. Just wish we weren't here from PA visiting a friend so we could have brought our English bulldog along. The whole area is so cool and dog friendly!! We will be back to the area next time

Our request seemed simple enough for a restaurant: table for six. We were told there would be a wait. Ok. Then within a short time there was a table for us. Great! No, there wasn't a table. Well, there would be a table in a bit. This was more confusion than I've seen in a restaurant. The staff seemed overwhelmed.... More

Our american friends were staying in Gulfport and took us here for dinner. What a difference to where we stayed in treasure island. Fantastic location interesting buildings and a lovely laid back feel to the whole place. Food was excellent freshly cooked and very tasty. I had the mushroom casadilla which was one of the small plates, it was hot... More

We were a party of 16 college students and a few parents. The waitress handled us expertly and the service was amazing. The food was delicious and menu had something for everyone. I had crab quesadillas- yummmm!
