This is a country gem. It's located about an hour from Orlando, FL. Me and my wife like to bring the family here when they come to town. The alligator is delicious and served with an alligator head for presentation. The steaks are cooked to perfection with fresh greens and mashed potatoes. My... read more

Great food. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. At this time of year the meal only costs $10.00 each. It is worth every penny.

Red Wing is out of the way but if you are around that area and have a chance to take it in don't pass on the chance. There are live farm animals in a petting area. Goats, mules, turkeys, pigs horses and more. But that is not the best part. The setting is a rustic country style cabin restaurant with... More

Red wah? You’ve never heard of this place? Well, it’s not surprising. This restaurant is more of a road side shack in Lake County. You know, the county west of Orange County, Florida. There is civilization west of Orlando, you know. The great folks of Lake County may totally disagree with labeling this place as a shack. I’ll rephrase my... More

Happened upon the Red Wing after reading reviews. It looks exactly the way it should from the outside for a roadside restaurant from the past. The service is friendly and fast albeit slightly disjointed (servers seemed to be in the weeds, but then again it was Mothers Day). The inside is pleasant and comfortable, the food fine as it should... More

We went here after reading trip advisor. It was good. But have had a lot better. Sides are very limited. I had all the snow crab you could eat for 32$ I ate 4 @ 1/2 crabs legs. My son had gator fried. It was better than an airboat tour we went on. But why doesn't anyone sauté in butter... More

I took out of towners here. We had elk, wild boar, venison sausage, quail, and frogs legs. My friend's wife, who is a bit of a gourmet, was very happy she went. The food was very good. Perhaps my only negative comment is that my wife and I both paid an extra $2 to "upgrade" to fancier dinner salads. We... More

Nothing fancy but nice place with great meats, from elk to quail and boar. Friendly place. I think the owner was often wondering around greeting guests and checking if everything was ok.

Perfect breakfast ride on the motorcycle in gorgeous Lake County Florida. I love the shrimp n grits, and he tries something new each time. The omelets are awesome, the homemade hash is great, and the wild game sausage is amazing. The restaurant itself is nothing fancy, and we have always had a great waitress. Just because the food is gourmet... More

We went with a party of friends. They all enjoyed their food: all you can eat crabs that I thought was a bit too expensive at $32.00 per person. I love quails and I decided to order them: they were way too PINK and obviously undercooked. The waitress. when told of the problem, with a lousy attitude and without even... More
