First off, the food is wonderful. I have been to Jamaica several times and the food here at Reggae Shack is as good, if not better than I have had in Jamaica. The staff was friendly and quick, and very knowable about the food. So don’t be afraid to ask how a particular dish is made. That said. The ventilation... More

I have heard about this eatery from my son, who is a grad student at University of Florida. He has eaten there many times and I have always thought about going. I had the opportunity to do that recently. Met my son for an early dinner (or late lunch). Was pleasantly surprised by the "funky" atmosphere. Upbeat and friendly I... More

The Reggae Shack Cafe serves excellent Jamaican food. Don't expect a fancy decor. The Shack is fairly small, but clean and comfortable. We've eaten there several times.Yesterday my wife and I ordered the brown fish and a Rastafarian salad to share. Both were excellent. The brown fish was crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The Rasta salad, which we ordered without... More

We ate there last Saturday night because they have a lot of vegetarian options. We had no problem parking because it was raining very hard but I understand it can be a problem. The restaurant is very very casual. The service was nice and the portions enormous. Lots of vegetarian dishes. I had a jerk chicken that was very good.... More

I must admit, I love their food when its done right. Unfortunately its NEVER done right, at least when you are take out. I work on that side of town. We try to eat here. It never works out. They cant take a take out order correctly. If you try to customize your order at all, good luck. The people... More

I reviewed this several years ago, and as I was reading over the review from then, I wanted to highlight several things that have improved over the past few years. Firstly, I should still saw that the food is still spectacular. Get the jerk chicken on the bone. It comes with plantains and stewed cabbage, both amazing. It also comes... More

We love the food at reggae shack! However, they really need yo do something about their kitchen exhaust system. The whole restaurant is usually filled with fryer smoke. We visited last Sunday for lunch - but were soon forced to take our lunch 'to-go' as the smoke became unbearable. So much for trying to get a Sunday lunch! Unfortunately this... More

Let me begin with this fact, I regularly drive over 40 miles each way to eat here. The food is authentic and absolutely delicious. From the curry goat to the jerk chicken I have yet to find a dish I did not like, and their menu is enormous. Most menu items are around $10. Huge vegan selection as well. It... More

The food was great along with the service. Husband and I saw their billboard on I 75 North, and thought we would try them, glad we did. It's a great little place.
