Flacos is open late many nights and they are convenient to the downtown area of Gainesville. While its not anything fancy, the food is good, served fast and not at all expensive. Cafe con Leche and Guava Pastry is great. Really good Cuban Sandwich. There is some seating, but we usually grab food and take it to go.

I went after a night out in downtown Gainesville. The line took about 10 minutes. The sandwich was delicious and totally worth the wait.

This has been one of my favorite places in the world for years now. Great food, great people, and great memories. Some of the servers (mostly one that I'm thinking of) can come off as rude, but otherwise, I love it. Best for lunch, and not during the busy dinner/post club hours.

The service at the place across from UF is a joke - a bad joke. The store is operated by unsupervised part-timers for whom this job seems to be a low priority. We had a series of problems with one simple order. But, the sandwiches were good. Worth it? Hmm, we will not likely go back.

I went to visit my sister in Gainesville and she couldn't stop talking about this place so we went there for lunch and I finally understood. The food is absolutely delicious! I had a bowl with rice, lentils, and ropa vieja and man it was amazing. My wife tried some of their cheese sticks and some other pastries and they... More

Having lived in Gainesville for several years I would usually qualify reviews of its restaurants with 'its good, for Gainesville' but in this case its just plain good, real good. This is traditional Cuban food, made with love, with momma's recipes. Make sure you get the cuban sandwich, its delicious, the meat is tender and juicy and flavorful, not dried... More

Quick stop for the fast, hot food and delicious, original recipes. Vegan/vegetarian friendly. When they ask if you want cuban bread, just say yes.

Great vegetarian options, yummy empanadas, but my favorite is the side of lentils with a tostada. SO GOOD. The quesitos are awesome too! Highly recommend!

We ate at this place 3 days in a row. The arepas are my favorite! They arent your typical Venezuelan arepa, they are a little sweeter but are freakin delicious!!! I ate mine with the ropa. The pressed cubans and burritos are amazing as well. I will always come back here

My wife and I go here whenever we are craving good, cheap Cuban food. The counter service is pretty fast, even in the early hours of the morning when the bars close down for the night. Order a media noche....you won't be disappointed.
