You can design your own pizza, it is not expensive (médium pizza is 8 slices, can be shared between 2 people, 18,50$), and very tasty! the place is fun: menus include fun or sweet stories, employees are friendly, deco is nice, you can eat outside in a van (!) or in the patio.

Satchel's is the only deep dish pizza you should eat, anywhere! Also make sure you get the salad because the dressing is delicious. Make sure you bring a ton of friends because it's always a ton of food. But this is one of the places you absolutely have to go anytime you're in Gainesville.

This is one reason why I love TA. You find out about awesome local places that you would never try on your own. We tried Satchels as a result of the reviews here and I knew my teen would love the funky, artsy vibe. We arrived on a Saturday for lunch and had to wait for a table. No problem,... More

We go to Satchel's once a month or so, and have generally been pleased with our experience. However, lately it seems that the service and food have deteriorated, with surly, inefficient service and soggy pizza. The hostess in particular was pretty curt with me and made me feel unwelcome. We are not sure we will be visiting as regularly in... More

Wow. The deserts are hand made not store bought. 1 dollar is very fair. Kidding right. Mama pizza 4 toppings was great. Atmosphere perfect and was in Gainesville during the mid 60s. Top pizza place visited in the US and world. Bar area in back very chill. Must must stop in G ville.

The place: Nicely decorated with stained glass windows and paintings (which are for sale) from locale artist. Some are decently priced while others are way to high for a no name artist. The restaurant is adorned with mismatched seating inside and ample seating outside, including a VW bus stripped down with seating for 2 parties 4 - 6. The Food:... More

We ate here with two six year old girls. The restaurant has a lively atmosphere and the wait staff works together providing timely and personable service. The sodas are hand crafted and delicious. The restaurant is cash only but the ATM on site donates the fee to a local charity. It was crowded on a Thursday night and was recommended... More

Recently rated in lists of top pizza joints in the nation. The creative touches to the seating area, the shop, and the play area are all great reasons to have dinner at Satchel's. Not to mention the fresh ingredients, delicious salad dressing, and yummy cookies. Plus it's a great feeling to know when you pay your bill, their employees are... More

This is a funky, artsy place that packs them in. Not close to campus, so you generally find out about it by word of mouth. Not your typical pizza, they offer different types of crusts, also. They also have craft beers, which is another plus. Entertainment in the back lounge area, and they have a gift shop, with some different... More

Satchels is the hole in the wall local place that visitors would not necessarily know about, but if you live here or just visiting Gainesville it is a must to experience Satchel's. The best salad ever. The pizza is unique and great also.
