Mark's had the best steak I have ever eaten, as compared to other top quality chain and independent places. Our server was excellent and even told us we had ordered too much food so we could remove a few items from our order.

I wanted a special birthday supper for my lady friend and this was it. On-line reservations were a snap. We were greeted and seated immediately in a beautiful traditional dining room. I liked the wide selection of wines by the glass that were reasonably priced. We had a petite filet and New York Strip, with mushroom risotto and brussels sprouts... More

We took our daughters here for graduation dinner. Split bill with other parents. The bill was not out of our price range, but it was pricey. The food was very good, except the swordfish. Three of us ordered it and the waiter came and told us they only had two left. I opted for the Flounder ... glad I did.... More

The staff at Mark's always tries their best but sometimes the kitchen lets them down. Out server was excellent but our filets & rib eyes, ordered medium rare came out medium well. Because the wait was so long we went ahead and didn't send them back. I can only hope they get a handle on the grill person.

The restaurant is very well furnished, and the atmosphere is welcoming. A wide selection of items that look quite interesting. The Steaks look excellent, and the Grouper that I selected was very well prepared. Extensive selection of very good beers. The prices are about what one would expect for this level of quality, but not too expensive. Plenty of parking... More

We just came back from a 5 start experience at Mark's yesterday evening. The restaurant is pricey (about $100 a person if you have drinks) but makes for an exceptional evening out. Our server last night was wonderful as well, his name is Austin. Unfortunately the service is not always so fantastic. We came in on Friday 4/11 for some... More

Went with a friend into Mark's on a Tuesday evening around 7. Got seated right away. Nice atmosphere, very comfortable for conversation. While looking through our menu, the waiter for the table next to us was going over the menu and specials. We eavesdropped and were glad we did. Our waiter gave a very, very brief description of the specials... More

I gave Mark's a try after seeing grouper with crab on the menu. My husband had a steak. The service was attentive, the bread was fresh, but I will not be the one to suggest going back. The steak was competent, but no better than what we do on the grill at home. The fish was good, but nothing unusual... More

Very good steaks, but you pay dearly and pay more for every side. A table of four will be $300 without drinks.

Steak was great as well as the salmon. Service was first class. If ever in Gainesville again we will eat there again.
