My wife and I went there recently to celebrate our son's graduation from U.F. The food was very good as were the drinks. Service was good. Not a lot of ambiance though. I was a little surprised when the bill arrived and glad that I had credit cards with enough room to charge it. I would never have had enough... More

Gainesville has many fast food/chain restaurants and Mark's Prime Steakhouse is a good alternative. They have a varied menu so you can eat 'large' or "small". The top sirloin and NY strip were delicious. A nice assortment of sides included tomatoes and mozarella, crab bisque and cauliflower casserole. We'll be back. Parking is on the street so be prepared to... More

We were very excited only to be very dissapointed after waiting over an hour for 1 slab of meat per plate. Nothing else. Wait staff never explained it was ala carte, which would have not been a big deal if we had known. we got some bread about 10 minutes before the meat arrived. Thanks for ruining our company Christmas... More

Four of us booked last dec 26, 2013 & really had a disappointing experience! Food was at best meh service about the same & our party of four felt like we were about to be put out with the cat & milk bottles! Doubt we'll return ever! Spoke with manager the next day & that fell flat & he couldn't... More

Atmosphere is awesome-beautiful stained glass inset "window" in the ceiling. We came for dessert (consolation after horrible Gators Homecoming game) and it hit the spot-pumpkin cheesecake and chocolate brownie torte. Also had a chocolate martini (delicious!) Prices were a bit steep but you pay for good food and atmosphere

One of my favorites in Gainesville! We come ofter to visit me daughter at school, Marks Prime is a restaurant that we all love and enjoy going to when visiting!!! It is a little on the pricy side, but the food is great.

We had to go the VA for a check up. We went a day ahead and stayed over night. We ate a Mark's Prime for steak. We had a nice time, the food was good, and the folks were helpful. Paul and Rebecca

Mark's Prime Steakhouse in downtown Gainesville is quite a treat. It's a little pricey, but is really delicious and worth the splurge. The blue cheese sirloin was amazing and the mashed potatoes were seriously some of the BEST I have ever eaten in my life. The portions of the potatoes are definitely large enough to share with another, so plan... More

Expensive but best restaurant in Gainesville. Great bartenders, fun drinks, great salads, appetizers and healthy or decadent dining choices.
