Great job serving 40 at once...

Had business holiday party here and was very impressed with atmosphere, food, and service. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that I was working from a fixed menu and didn't get to fairly access the food. Great bar up front...

Went with a party of 10. We were squeezed into a booth table combination even though the restaurant was over half empty. We all orders appetizers and main courses. The food was average, nothing great. Ordered a tomato and onion salad appetizer and the tomato was not ripe. The two small slices of tomato it came with you could see... More

Last weekend we celebrated our 18 yr old Granddaughter. I ordered a boneless ribeye medium rare and it arrived cooked pretty close but it was on the tough side. I believe it was more like choice than prime beef. My granddaughter ordered a petite filet medium rare and it ranged from raw to rare. Her date ordered their hamburger medium... More

We have been to Mark's Prime several times, usually for a special occasion (birthdays, anniversaries, with family visiting from out of state), but our last visit is my favorite. On a whim, my husband and I decided to drop in early on a Saturday evening. We were gambling as we had no reservation but they graciously accommodated us and seated... More

We had dinner with some friends on a Friday night. The restaurant was completely full however our table was ready and waiting for us as we did have reservations and arrived on time. Steak was wonderful and sides were delicious. Our service was good. No complaints whatsoever. We will return!

We had a nice dinner at Mark's Prime Steakhouse in Gainesville The calamari was excellent. The aged prime steaks were cooked perfectly. The service was attentive.

Took three others there for dinner. Parking was impossible but do have Valet- Use It. Guests had mixed drink and I had a glass of wine- all were overpriced. Appetizers are to share and we split two. Both prepared well and tasted well. If we return we may just have appetizers, Three of the group had filets. Cooked properly, tasted... More

Overall this is a fine restaurant with good food and excellent service. It is overpriced for the quality and quantity of food you get. 36$ for a cut of beef on a plate. No sides or toppings or even garnishes. It was very good but not great. The grouper was a tad overdone.

Gainesville is a college town with many pizza, burger and beer joints that cater to UF students. However in downtown there is a great white table-cloth steakhouse that could hold its own in any big city. My wife and I visited here on a recent football weekend. We shared a delicious Ahi Tuna appetizer and split a classic wedge salad.... More

We found this place to be a mixed bag. The service from Stacy was excellent. The food on the other hand had some problems. We both ordered seafood and perhaps that was a mistake at a steakhouse but the food was only lukewarm. It tasted good so we didn't send it back or anything but our side dish of cauliflower... More
