The service at mildred's is not the best service around. They do not know how to treat there repeated customers and the food is over priced. You can sometimes over look over price food if the service makes up for it, but it never does at Mildred's. Well sorry but wrong industry to be in if you can't be kind... more
My family and friends have enjoyed Mildred's in the past but with it's new ownership also comes (what I believe to be) a begininng of the end for this restaurant. In today's economy, the restaurant businesss is taking a hard hit. And while it is important to support all of our local businesses, this is one local business that does... more
When Nancy and Russell opened Mildred's Big City Food in Gainesville a decade or more ago they brought quality cuisine and personal service. Not too many years ago, Mildreds was a lively, sparkling place. Weekend nights usually meant a full house. It is sad to see a restaurant lose its way. I almost didn't buy... more
I had frequented Mildred's under the old ownership and was extremely happy. Since the ownership has changed, the quality of the food has definitely declined. I do not plan to go back as Gainesville has much better restaurants. more
Fantastic food and friendly servers, but sometimes the people at the counter are a little too cool for me. more
Mildred's is better than ever! Still the highest quality seafood and produce in gainesville, prepared simply and expertly. Chefs are completely amenable to your special needs and requests. More reasonably priced than I expected. Make reservations for a friday! and save room for cake! more
It seemed as if the staff wasn't allowed to smile. The rigid environment made us uncomfortable during our dining experience. The food was very pricey and only moderate in taste. It may be one of the pricier resteraunts in Gainsville but it's not worth the trip more
