Went here for lunch and it was delicious. Had the chicken salad salad and others had quiche and soup. All yummy and great prices. Delicious homemade dressings. Service was great and everyone friendly. Enjoyed it so much, we went back again next day. As for purchasing wine by the bottle, prices were expensive.

This place has been around for eons. Very Gainesville vibe- almost totally lost in the 1980's and 90's. food service had really picked up in the last 5 years. we only go for lunch & try to sit outside on the patio. Very laid back place but never a very long wait. Lunch presentation has also improved. Great salad &... More

Wine and Cheese IS Gainesville for us. Actually, we found it when we were looking at places to retire, and checking out Gainesville. We figured if they had restaurants like Wine and Cheese, we could be happy here. We have been coming back to eat ever since. The food is outstanding, the wine collections jaw-dropping, and the owners both knowledgeable... More

My husband and I participating in a dinner organized by his department. Although we have bought wine and cheese for years there and had some very nice lunches, the restaurant is really not ready for dinners. For a flat price of $45.00 per person they served us a small tray of cheeses a few slices of sausages and a few... More

Great happy hour and an incredible beet salad! Definitely best to go on a weekend night when there are more people. During good weather the outdoor seating area is superb!

We made it to happy hour which is between 5 and 7. This includes $2 off each wine by the glass or $5 off their normal $10 corkage fee. They have about 4 whites and 4 reds listed for their wines by the glass. I had a Viognier from Mendoza (if I remember correctly). It was very good. However, a... More

I just attended their Thursday night wine tasting along with two friends. A nice cheese and fruit plate accompanied a sampling of 4 wines. Wonderful! We decided to stay for dinner and moved to the outside patio to enjoy the evening breeze. Honestly, I had forgotten about this great place to relax and enjoy a great meal. Don't miss this... More

On a happy accident, my favorite restaurant was closed today so I set off to the Wine and Cheese Gallery in downtown Gainesville to meet a friend. It was a delightful experience that nudged memories of many pleasant times spent here, mostly on the lovely deck outside.. It was raining today though, so we settled in at a window seat... More

I have been here several times & I'm always impressed. The staff is friendly & knowledgeable. They are a nice local place that is easy to find. Parking might be difficult but worth your time. The wine and cheese gallery get high marks from me.

We stopped in based on the fine reviews from other visitors and were not disappointed. We had soup and sandwiches which were tasty and generous. Servers were friendly and attentive and the restaurant was clean and interesting.
