Celebrated a 21st birthday at Amelia's and the staff helped make it most memorable - in an elegant way. The food was amazing! The Happy Birthday serenade by owner/chef and sax player, Andy Fass, was a perfect way to end our dinner on this special night.

Amelias is my families favorite restaurant. We are Italian, from the New York/ New Jersey area where there is excellent Italian food. We have traveled to Italy several times, so we know good Italian when we taste it. Most people thing of pasta when they think of Italian food, but that is just one part of the cuisine and Amelias... We had a great dinner on Christmas with family. The waitress was very nice. There was a mistake made with my daughter's dinner and she fixed the problem very quickly. The food was good and the atmosphere was very nice for our Christmas dinner. The owner/chef came out to check on evert table which is a nice touch.

We hadn't been here for years, but were drawn in by a Groupon; paid $22 for $40 value. Nice place, quality food, music not too loud. Only drawback was our waitress has a group of 13 next to our party of three seemed low priority. But the chef/owner checked on each table. Go on Tuesday night when wine bottles are... More

Cozy dining room. The menu is large and varied. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. The night we were there there was some kitchen issue which delayed our food, but we were offered free wine and an apology and because it was handled so well we were not even bothered. The food was worth the wait. Well-prepared, nicely presented. Do... More

My husband and I received excellent service the minute we walked in the door. Nice wine selection and a delicious veal Marsala and a tasty grouper. I only give 5 stars rarely...so this is my top score. We'll be back!

My husband enjoyed our dinner at Amelia's so very much! The food was beautifully prepared and plated. Everything was so fresh and served at the perfect temperature, We enjoyed the 'non-fussy' atmosphere and the light jazz music in the background. Our wait person was great and the pacing of our meal was perfect as we never felt ignored or rushed... More

My husband, vegetarian teenage granddaughter (who was celebrating her birthday) and I enjoyed dinner at Amelia's during an overnight stop in Gainesville. Our food was delicious; nice plating, hot and fresh. (We had the chicken francese, chicken parm and a portobello vegetarian dish.) This white tablecloth restaurant had an elegant, yet relaxed ambience. Service was pleasant and professional. The chef... More

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. If you are in the mood for good Italian food I had the Veil Marsala and it was excellent. The chef who is also the owner takes the time to personally check on you to ensure you were happy with your meal. The night we went there was also two gentlemen playing some soft Jazz... More

We ate here after reading the reviews on tripadvisor and once again they where right. The food is fresh and great quality. The service is very friendly and professional. The chef come and check on his guess and he is very friendly. A nice find that we will Visite more often and recommend.
