Great Italian

Really good Italian. The waitstaff is fantastic. Chef Andy seems to take a personal interest in your dining experience. I have been here for dinner for a night out, business dinners and lunches. Decent wine list. Wine is well priced and good options across the spectrum. The environment is intimate... read more

We had one of the best (if not THE best) dinner we have ever had! The grouper was to die 4! Have eaten at this establishment twice. The chef is extremely talented. Was pleased to have him check on us near closing time. Truly a memorable, mouthwatering experience.

Thinking Italian, I don't typically order fish, but the Grouper special was outstanding. The service was great. the drink were not watered down. Everything was perfect.

A second good find this weekend. Amelia's not only served great food but in large servings too, a little unexpected for the fine dining scene but this is Italian! Prices were very reasonable too. We are talking of very good cooking with good fresh ingredients at Amelia's. And served in very pleasant surroundings with very pleasant staff.

Had a fantastic Italian meal here. The menu was typical Italian choices. Our table had five different entrees and one was better than the next. The atmosphere was very nice and they had some live music that was a good addition to our dining. Our waitress was thorough and very friendly. The owner/chef came to our table to make sure... More

We truly enjoyed our meal, and the chef/owner Andy Fass and his staff were very welcoming and frequently checked in with us to make sure everything was to our liking. I had been told before going to try the Veal Marsala, that it was perhaps the best in the world. It was indeed excellent. My wife had the grouper which... More

We have not eaten often in Gainesville. We visit there occasionally to attend UF sporting events but the games seldom are timed to coincide easily with dinner. This Saturday night however the Gator basketball game ended at early 8 PM allowing our extended family time to eat and still get back home at a reasonable hour. Therefore we checked Trip... More
