This was a fine restaurant but it closed unexpectedly late summer 2013. They are trying to find a new tenant for the building .
Came with a party of 9. Menus left on table. Staff put food on top of them. Salmon served very undercooked to one member of our party. It took staff 30 minutes to correct the problem. Several of us had difficulties getting ice tea refills. There are a lot of restaurants in Gainesville, I will try another place on my... More
Went with a party of nine. The service was slow, They served one of us uncooked fish and it took 30 minutes to correct. The rest of us was almost finished. Very slow and they were not busy that night.
Very nice atmosphere. The service was average. They did have some great food. My wife's steak was undercooked, but that was quickly remedied. They did not have a kids menu. Good for a party of two.
This restaurant had a nice atmosphere, friendly service and very good food. I dined there with my parents for graduation weekend and although the place was busy, they accommodated a reservation and seated us promptly. The portions were generous. I recommend this place if you're looking for something a little more upscale in a college town.
This was my first time at the Stonewood Tavern. The decor was nice and the dim lighting gave it an intimate ambiance. The waiter, Luke, was exceptional. He was very pleasant, patient, and accommodating. We had a coupon which we forgot to present until after we had paid the bill, and Luke graciously corrected our bill. We ordered a bottle... More
We celebrated a couple birthdays and an anniversary all at one time and they brought out a sparkler lit ice cream for everyone...free. Dinner was delicious once we got a table. The booths make this a very private and intimate place to enjoy dinner. Prices are a bit high so we don't go often. It is near a theatre so... More
Thought it was a steak- hamburger type place. So wrong. Great food with a strong Italian spice flavor. Had French Onion Soup with Grilled Chicken Sandwich. Wonderful!!!!! But high price. $15 for sandwich & fries. But we'll worth it. Highly recommend it for a special occasion or just a treat for yourself .
This is our "go-to" restaurant when we know our party would prefer to choose from a variety of food types. Quiet atmosphere and gentle lighting, excellent and friendly staff, and the food comes out fresh, hot, and tasty. The booths are comfortable for my 90-year-old mom and dad, and I personally love the wine specials! Join the Stonewood Club and... More
I was there last night with a party of 14. We dine out once a month. Frequently we have average to sometimes poor service since we are a large group. The service at Stonewood was excellent. Since their portions are large, I asked if my husband and I could split the 9 oz. filet. They were happy to accomodate us... More
