The food was the best ! The deserts looked fabulous. Only problem we were to full to try them . next time we will. more
Leonardo's 706 has been in Gainesville for more than 20 years as well as I can recall. Although the interior is somewhat rustic there is rotating art work exhibited throughout the restaurant for diners to enjoy and the food is upscale and always delicious. Driving home from New Orleans, we decided to stop in Gainesville and try to find a "nice" restaurant to have dinner. Passing Leonardo's, we were impressed by the signage and decided to stop there. Went to Leonardo's 706 for dinner on 10/18/08. I guess our mistake was being a large party . The server (Arbury?) was just terrible. She gave no service at all. We waited at least 20 minutes before she came to take the drink orders then she came back fifteen minutes later to state the specials for the evening. After this... more

I don't know what the big deal is about this place. It's more expensive than it should be and I make better pasta at home. Pizza IS good but everything should cost 2/3 what it does more

Not to be confused with the pizza place (the other Leonardo's) this has some good and interesting dishes. Should it get five stars? Maybe not, but there aren't that many good dining options in town. more
