Coffee was fine but unfriendly service

We were staying at a nearby B&B and really enjoyed going to Maude's for sandwiches, salads, excellent coffees and other treats. Try a "Drunken Maude" coffee on a hot afternoon! Wonderful place!

Went once, out of curiosity. Shall never return... Kids working there are really rude and that makes it impossible to enjoy the nice ambience.

The quiche was good but I will not return as the music was so loud and annoying. Not to mention the host or the cashier her attitude was blah. We passed on coffee because we didn't want to give them any more of our money. We went to Starbucks right across the street & the moment we hit the door,... More

I ate at Maude's over super bowl weekend, for brunch. My friend and I split a Pancho Villa. It was delicious and the coffee was excellent. I had an iced mocha cafe latte. It's a little bit kitsch in it's attempt to be hip and cool. The deco and even the particular style of the employees is all a little... More

There's a joke about me and Maudes among my friends, and it's that every car I drive has a pre-installed homing device that takes me there the moment I get to Gainesville. I've been getting coffee here for 15 years, and though the store and people has changed, the coffee and snacks have stayed the same. My go-to drink is... More

I gave this place a 4 for the coffee. I did not eat there, was still full from lunch. So, not sure about the food and the decor is different and relaxing. Would recommend if looking a good cup of joe.

This was my second visit to Maude's. This time it was near closing time, with a chill in the air, cold air nipping at our noses. Time for some warm beverages! My dates Chai was perfectly brewed: right temperature, just enough sugar, a touch of foam on top. My hot chocolate was 3/4 not full, Lukewarm, and very weak. I... More

I've been going to Maude's for almost 20 years. It's the perfect compliment to an evening out downtown, and a wonderful spot to gather with friends after a performance at the Hippodrome. Their desserts are excellent and the coffee is very good too. Relax in the courtyard and enjoy an evening out.

Across the street from Starbucks, Maude's is often overlooked, but worth it. Their coffee is nothing to rave about, but is always tasty and they have a variety of brews daily. There desserts push the experience over the edge; delicious cookies and cakes as well as savory quiches are great! A quirky, hipster study spot. Open late. Wine available.
