Hard to Find but Easy to Love

This is a farm to table restaurant. Excellent food; good cooking and nice menu. I bring guests here all of the time and they love it. It is a little difficult to find and a bit off the beaten path but very close to downtown. Your visitors will love it and talk about it for weeks to come.

This restaurant is great. They have a variety of foods from different cultures and they have a different special each Wednesday from a different country. The food is delicious, and they try to use locally sourced and organic products. The only drawback is that they recently changed to a cash-only restaurant.

I love this place! It is housed in what I am told was an old railroad maintenance garage with huge roll-up garage doors. Someone did a fablous job making this rustic old space into something very Zen. It all comes together to form an amazingly appealing architectural space. The menu is quite eclectic--local, organic, seasonal, with several vegetarian options. Start... More

Went for a business meeting. Atmosphere good, staff very friendly. I did not find the service slow as others wrote. In fact, I found them very attentive. The food is a unique combination of tastes. It is hard to place them in any one restaurant category. Interesting taste combinations and they do a great job with both vegetarian and meat... More

Yes... Service is slow but that is because of the bohemian atmosphere. If you are in a rush this is not a place for you. The food is clean and very good. Try the Hibiscus and Ginger ice tea. Also it's cash only so don't expect to use your credit card. I had the Farmer's sandwich and it was second... More

Food is hugely important, obviously, but service is up at the top too. I went with my friend for lunch this week. We had to site outside; no big deal. The table was dirty and the server/hostess blasted the table with the spray, while we were sitting there, instead of spraying the towel and then wiping. Or why not ask... More

We've been loyal customers at this restaurant since they opened (visiting about once a week for years and years) but won't be going back. We've tolerated the unimaginative menu that doesn't change very often. We've suffered the sheba and talii plates that are pasty, pre-cooked, disappointing airline food dishes for a while now, but when we arrived there recently and... More

I ate lunch there today with two friends. We all had different menu items and one of my friends said it was the worst sandwich she ever had. Another friend had barbecue sandwich which was dry and flavorless and they had no barbecue sauce for her to try to improve it. The onions in the slaw were extra hot. None... More

Love the 50's movie type movie playing in the background of the restaurant. Located in a little community the place is unassuming except for the big sign! Awesome ginger hibiscus tea for my drink. Tapenade and dip to start has beautiful flavors and the the Sheba plate Ethiopian dish was excellent, loads of veggies and lentils and authentic spices. Excellent... More

Rolled into Civilization with a group of about 10 for Sunday brunch. The food was decent (I ordered the Hungarian grilled cheese) and the hibiscus mimosas were the perfect start to the day. Not expensive and the staff were attentive. I was debating on whether to give 4 or 5 starts but tipped the scales to 5 because of the... More
