Since moving to Gainesville two months ago we have eaten at Francesca's twice, each time was a very good experience! They accomodated our request for a booth and even though they were quite busy, the service was good. The only problem I had was on the second visit they did not provide us with bread. The first time I visited... More

This restaurant has to be one of the nicest in Gainesville -- great for a romantic dinner or for dinner with a friend. This is my first choice when I have friends from out of town or am planning to see a show at nearby Gainesville Community Playhouse. Never have had a bad meal or experience at this restaurant!

So this isn't the first time I have eaten here, colleagues in Gainesville often take me to this normally excellent restaurant. This time it was quite a group of us, 16 or so. The night we went there was a special event with associated species on the menu. As always the appetizers where great, I really like the calamari and... More

Nice atmosphere with a family feel touch. All meals prepared from scratch. We had homemade mozzarella cheese goodies, Cesar salad, chicken parmigiano, and shrimp scampi, everything was perfect and delicious. Don't forget the Sangiovise wine and canolis for dessert. Highly recommend similar touch as MIA in a family environment.

Service was fantastic, the ambience was great. We arrived later than the normal dinner hour, however food was still fresh and great.

Our family had Sunday brunch here and really enjoyed it! The live music was wonderful - they didn't play too loud, so you could enjoy the music and still talk to the people you were with. The service and food was really good - surprisingly large portions for lunch/brunch! We would definitely go here again!

Normally I've found that tripadvisor reviewers do a great job of reviewing restaurants. Maybe it wasn't their best day or maybe my wife and I could have ordered better but our experience was only average. Her eggplant rollatini was just O.K. The appetizer sampler was also average. My tortellini al forno, however, was very good. The atmosphere was nice but... More

We have been coming to Francesca's since it has opened! It is romantic, peaceful, has low lighting, and soft Italian background music. They have kind and attentive staff. The food is cooked to order and worth the tiny little wait (which we have never noticed). Dress nice for a romantic dinner or casual for lunch. The Chef is Italian (we... More

My family and I are just leaving and chose this spot due to the great reviews. The meal was fine...my lunch sized Fettuccine Alfredo had 5 shrimp and cost $19! Yikes! My husband's Chicken Parmesan was decent but the kids couldn't find anything that suited them besides the rolls. The rolls were great, though!
