Tried this place for the first time yesterday and had an okay experience. Our server was spot on and did a great job. The food was just mediocre, not amazing but not bad. The dipping oil was very good, but it's kind of strange that it is an additional cost. We tried the bruschetta which was again just okay. I... More

Manicotti, chicken florentine and spaghetti and meatballs all very good. Nice atmosphere, pleasant service! Would definitely come back.

We eat here when we're in the area, and the food is always excellent! I'm an absolute slave to the Chicken Piccata and the greek salad, but the kids love the "Ali's Favorite" Pizza. You cannot avoid a great meal. The owner and his wife are always on site, checking to make sure our meal was as it always is... More

We had our Sunday brunch choice at another restaurant, which turned out to be closed post-Christmas. So we stopped in at Ali's and were pleasantly surprised. They had bottomless champagne mimosas, so that helped set the mood. The soup of the day was called 'jambalaya,' which if you hail from Louisiana is not a soup. Out of curiosity, we tried... More

I went here with some coworkers one evening. The atmosphere was nice but that was the only good thing about the place. First, they charge you for the olive oil/garlic dip which most restaurants give to you for free. I had the chicken Marsala and it was bland and the sauce was really watered down and runny. I spoke with... More

The food was tasty and filling. The service prompt, we did not feel rushed. We were a group of 5 and were not pushed to leave as some places do at lunch.

Formerly barren downtown Fort Walton Beach has sprouted several good restaurants. Ali's Bistro occupies the former Big City space and has a fine, contemporary Italian menu, with pizzas, salads, and updated classics. I had a very good Chicken Parmesan. Service was spotty but friendly, with reminders needed for bread, water, etc. The noise level is very loud because of all... More

I read a few of the reviews on here and cannot disagree more with some of the claims. I have been a patron of Ali's since they were in Destin. Back then Ali's place was so small he would just invite you into the kitchen to say hi and to see everything they were doing. I actually witnessed him MAKING... More

I was with some colleagues this evening, and we decided to go to Ali's Bistro for dinner. I ordered the Chicken Marsala. I'm glad that I did not order appetizers, because it was a large portion. The chicken was moist and tender. The mushrooms were fresh, and sliced thinly. The onions were sliced and cut, but there may have been... More

This is the best place to eat. It is a little hard to find as it sits off the road near the dance academy. Food is great. Lasagna is exceptional. Gelato is also great. Always eat here and wish it were closer.
