In my many years on this planet I have grown to appreciate a good neighborhood. A good neighborhood is some place where you want to be. A place that you are proud to be in. The Neighborhood Cafe is hit or miss at best. Some days you feel welcomed and get excellent service. Other days you are a bother and... More

Woke up on our first day to rain and clouds. We were bummed while we atr at this little gem, but breakfast made it better. Cheap in comparison but doesn't taste it. Nothing new on the breakfast menu but our cups were never empty, service with a smile and the rain eventually did clear up!

I was in Ft. Walton Beach, with my girlfriend, looking for a good breakfast. My girlfriend, who was born in the area, mentioned the Neighborhood Café, but had been gone from the area for a while, and wasn't sure it was still in business. To our good fortune, it is. We had breakfast there twice during our visit to FWB.... More

Pros: Good food and service, nice atmosphere. Cons: Hard to find, no signs around, had to call to get directions once we were in the shopping plaza, guess we're getting old...also, no fruit available in any of the meals. Liked it very much, we'll go back when in the area--now that we know where it is!

Glancing in the windows we almost passed this place up. Glad we didn't. The small homey feeling restaurant was full of kinda people and locals. The pancakes tasted homemade as did the biscuits and gravy. Just because it isn't a chain doesn't mean you shouldn't give it a chance. Nice litter breakfast find!

Excellent lunchtime experience. My dining partner enjoyed the tuna melt and I inhaled the Reuben sandwich . . . both fantastic. The wait staff is extremely friendly, the prices are low (less than $8 for a Reuben and a side of delicious coleslaw), and the restaurant is clean. This is a place where the locals dine, and they do have... More

If you are looking for a great breakfast, this is the spot. The hash browns are like the ones you find up North. The staff make you feel at home in a cute surrounding. The coffee is hot and endless. This really is a friendly neighborhood cafe where those in the know go. Enjoy.

My experience here was good. All of the staff were very nice and friendly. Prices are good and priced just right for this type of restaurant. The restaurant itself is very casual. I find the food good. You will not find fancy dishes here. Mainly foods you would find at any home-cooking diner. I believe this place will greatly appeal... More

Little gem this one, very friendly, excellent fresh cooked food, a little away from the beach area but easy enough to find.
