Chef Joseph Is Magical

Chef Joseph can do anything, we think! He makes a lime chili sauce for the grouper that is out of this world. First time on a Monday we sat outside without reservations with no problem. Charming little restaurant with excellent service. Our son had one of the specialties, Chilean Sea Bass, which he said was excellent. My husband and I had shrimp, which was over cooked. We had the Crème Broulle for desert and all agreed, we had had better. Our chief complaint was that the on line menu prices was different than what was... More

Had not been to this location in years but was pleasantly surprised upon return this week. Dinner on a Friday night outdoors, by the bay. It was quiet, peaceful and the food was good. Waitstaff was good. I had the scampi and the portion was good, the shrimp on the larger side and servers at a good temperature

We ate lunch at the Bay Cafe after visiting the Air Force Armament Museum. We split a bowl of the French onion soup...totally made from scratch and plenty to split. My wife ordered the salmon salad and I had the chicken piccata with angel hair pasta. The chicken is generally served with mashed potatoes, but I'm a pasta person. We... More

For those of you old timers around the panhandle area, you may remember a little french restaurant that was located in the Seville district of downtown Pensacola that was called Jamie's. It was always a special place with outstanding food. This place is the new version of Jamie's. Location and views are superb, the wait staff is prompt and curtious,... More

The Bay Cafe has an awesome view of the water and we were excited when we first walked in and were seated. It seemed like it was going to be a gem of a find. After being assured by the waiter that they did not use wheat, corn, rice or other grains, we waited 30 minutes for our food. When... More

Went for Sunday Brunch, had their signature omelet. Not too many brunch options, their brunch menu is the same as their daily lunch menu I think. Omelets were delicious and mashed potato accompaniment was really tasty as well. Had minosas. They serve over ice which was a little odd, but still tasty. Server was very sweet and attentive. They have... More

Had dinner here because we'd had a full day and this was close to our hotel. What luck! We were seated immediately, in spite of not having reservations. Had a table out on the deck, by the water. Great ambiance. There are docks, so the place can be visited by boaters. I started out with the Spicy Jumbo Shrimp appetizer,... More

The waitress was sweet to my children who were very well behaved tonight. My 7 year old shared the grouper Wellington with me and we thought it was excellent. My 5 year old girl had Mac and cheese. It was not on the menu but was offered when my daughter asked for pasta. My hubby had the grilled chicken with... More

This is a great French restaurant. Very nice outdoor patio overlooking bay. Great service and food. We enjoyed it a lot. Although no official "kids menu" they have a good kids menu and I would say kid friendly provided your kids are not all over the place..
