While somewhat pricey, the food and the atmosphere are well worth it. Wonderful for a nice, relaxed lunch on the deck.

The setting is peaceful, the view beautiful and the food was excellent. When we travel we like to eat in fine dining restaurants so we are used to spending goodly sums for a meal. We had the scallops and grouper which were large enough to fill us up. This is as good as we have had in awhile and we... More

This restaurant is a nice surprise, unassuming and almost hidden under a bridge. The dockside tables are nice for watching the boats go by but it also seems a shame not to experience the very French Bistro feel of the interior. The atmosphere is casual but there is no kids' menu and the emphasis is mainly on seafood with the... More

We had dinner at Bay Cafe and it was the best meal during our one week vacation. The atmosphere is casual with a nice romantic feel. We sat outside at a table for two near the water. My husband and I shared the sautéed crab claws as a starter and they were perfect. I had the special sea bass and... More

I have been eating at Bay Cafe for years and years and years. It is ALWAYS good, NEVER a disappointment. Sitting outside on the Sound is a wonderful way to enjoy a superb lunch and have a good bottle or two of wine! The inside area is a bit small, not what would fall under 'intimate', just simply small. That... More

In all of my years going to Destin and Fort Walton, I never imagined that there was such a great place hidden under the bridge from Okaloosa Island to Fort Walton. We are glad we found it now!! Truly a spot with mainly locals as the patrons, this a little cabin/house serving excellent mainly French and Mediterranean preparations of local... More

We were given the name of this restaurant and discovered it was not easy to find...set back on some streets away from the tourist traffic. I ordered a grouper(not blackened) croissant and was so pleasantly surprised. The croissant was light and melt in your mouth but that was not unexpected since this was a French Restaurant. The real surprise was... More

This restaurant has been a favorite of ours for years. The cuisine is always outstanding, as is the service. It is off the beaten path by a few blocks, but is well worth visiting. One can either dine inside or out on the spacious deck, with a beautiful view of Choctawhatchee Bay. Weather permitting, the deck is the unanimous choice... More

You won't find any advertisements for this place. You either know about it or you don't. Food is always delicious, thanks to Julian! Our waitress is always so very nice without being overdone. Love the patte and shrimp pasta!

Basically French fare. Been around quite a while. Small, no frills, but a lovely view across Choctawhatchee Bay. (Boats, dolphins, pelicans.). Obscure location in a neighborhood almost under the Brooks Bridge. We went recently with visitors and dined on the dock - there is almost always a nice breeze off the water in the evening. Sit outside unless it is... More
