Food was great, service was excellent, it's slow.

The service was really good. Very friendly folks. The food was fantastic and we all talked about how we wanted to go back sometime. The downsides: water glasses are tiny...she must have brought water to our table a 10 times because of this. The other downside is it took a LONG time to get the... read more

Had a really nice meal here, in a calm elegant atmosphere and with excellent service. The Grouper Wellington was delicious, not so much the fish (which is as bland as bland can be) as the crust and the lobster sauce on top; sides of potatoes and green beans were perfectly cooked and very tasty. Location is great, not easy to... More

We come to Fort Walton every summer and have always gone to the same old places. This trip we are doing all new. The Bay Cafe was awesome, and we will definitely be going back. I highly recommend the Grouper Wellington. Two days later, and I am still thinking about it!!!

The food here is amazing. It's a nice, local place away from the tourist traps. They tend to take a while though so don't be in a rush when you come here.

Chef Joseph can do anything, we think! He makes a lime chili sauce for the grouper that is out of this world. First time on a Monday we sat outside without reservations with no problem. It's a french restaurant and the fresh bread was fabulous. A great blue heron sat with us on the other side of the railing on... More

Charming little restaurant with excellent service. Our son had one of the specialties, Chilean Sea Bass, which he said was excellent. My husband and I had shrimp, which was over cooked. We had the Crème Broulle for desert and all agreed, we had had better. Our chief complaint was that the on line menu prices was different than what was... More

Had not been to this location in years but was pleasantly surprised upon return this week. Dinner on a Friday night outdoors, by the bay. It was quiet, peaceful and the food was good. Waitstaff was good. I had the scampi and the portion was good, the shrimp on the larger side and servers at a good temperature

We ate lunch at the Bay Cafe after visiting the Air Force Armament Museum. We split a bowl of the French onion soup...totally made from scratch and plenty to split. My wife ordered the salmon salad and I had the chicken piccata with angel hair pasta. The chicken is generally served with mashed potatoes, but I'm a pasta person. We... More

For those of you old timers around the panhandle area, you may remember a little french restaurant that was located in the Seville district of downtown Pensacola that was called Jamie's. It was always a special place with outstanding food. This place is the new version of Jamie's. Location and views are superb, the wait staff is prompt and curtious,... More

The Bay Cafe has an awesome view of the water and we were excited when we first walked in and were seated. It seemed like it was going to be a gem of a find. After being assured by the waiter that they did not use wheat, corn, rice or other grains, we waited 30 minutes for our food. When... More
