Fabulous food, lovely atmosphere, charming staff

Ordered the Grouper Wellington with Lobster Sauce - every bite was so delicious. The flavors were so rich. I started with French onion soup to start - also perfect. Excellent dinner tonight. Great service and ambience. Delicious. I ordered tomato crab bisque, amberjack. Wine was perfect as well.

This restaurant was recommended by the realtor of our condo rental, and I had seen some favorable reviews also. My wife and I felt the service and the food just didn't really live up to pricing entrees in the $20-$35 range. I also didn't feel the restaurant deserved to be classified as a french restaurant which I also saw in... More

We stopped in halfway between morning and afternoon sessions with the realtor. As is sometimes the case, the realtors (who spend so much time taking clients out to lunch) seem to know the best local places... At his suggestion, we negotiated the back road approach to this restaurant, at the foot of the Brooks Bridge. Incredible French dining in Ft... More

We came for lunch based on reviews and loved the food, service and view. The grouper sandwich on a croissant was so good, the spicy shrimp appetizer had a wonderful sauce, and we enjoyed the bay view from the outside deck. So happy to have found this wonderful restaurant.

We stay in Fort Walton one week each year. We eat here at least once during each visit to the beach. The Bay Cafe has French food, but the astmosphere, and dress code, is casual. Their Crab Cake appetizers are wonderful, as is their house herb salad dressing. Their Grouper Wellington is superb, and is a Must Try. They have... More

i loved this place and ant to try everything on their menu! Our Grouper Wellington was fantastic! Salads were fresh and original with their house dressing. Desserts were not the best ever, but you really don't need dessert after such a wonderful meal!

We stayed in Pensacola but drove over to Ft.Walton for a day and decided to try this restaurant. Food was great. Service was a little slow but they were very busy. The food was worth the wait. Upscale food in a casual (on the water) atmosphere.

This is a GREAT restaurant! Spectacular food right on the water, and the prices are well below normal French establishments. Our group had duck liver pate, goose liver Foie gras, lamb shank, trout, filet and more - and everything was fantastic! Go here!
