If you like fried seafood then you'll probably like this place. And, although it's weird to comment on, the corn on the cob here was wonderful! my husband had a crab stuffed grouper that he wants to eat again before we leave! I believe his cost about $22. I had popcorn shrimp, crab cake, mashed potatoes and corn for $14 more

Love the atmosphere. We sat out on the deck at sunset. Wonderful breeze! Service was great, but all in all, the food was nothing more than average. Not excellent, but not bad either. Our bill was high when compared to the tastiness of the food. I probably will not go back again on my future trips. My 2 year old... more

Overall, this is an relaxed place for a quick bite. The prices are not that cheap though - $80 for 2 adults and 1 child. We sat outdoors, so we saw folks of all kinds - adults sipping cocktails, families with children, people in swim suits, people dressed up a little more. The crab appetizer in garlic butter was really... more

I really liked the location of this restaurant. It was a beautiful day and most of the customers choose to eat out side over looking the ocean. This is our first visit to The Crab Trap so we didn't know what to expect. We were seated inside right away next to a window overlooking the ocean. The waitress was friendly... more

The Crab Trap sits on the beach right on the Gulf of Mexico - beautiful view. Too bad we had such a terrible experience. I came with a party of 18 - a family reunion. My 92 year old grandmother was slowly making her way in - I went in with my kids and cousins to secure a table. The... more

It's on the 2nd floor of a shopping center. It overlooks the beach. I has a good outdoor bar and dining seating area. The beach has a volleyball court. There is a playground on beach next to the resaurant. The atmosphere is top notch; the food not so much. It's also a bit pricy for the quality. Kids meals start... more

Horrible, horrible food - probably the worst on Okaloosa Island. Charged $7-8 for kids meal and then charged extra $2 for child's drink which is NOT included. Greasy, over-fried garbage. Will never go back. No one enjoyed their meals - and prices are outrageous. Guess they charge for the view but next time I'll sit on the beach with McDonalds... more

Was looking forward to the gumbo which had good reviews, very disappointed when mine arrived at the table with a black curly hair in it. Gag respnse went to into overdrive. The waitress response, "we'll take it off your bill , will you like to order something else instead!!" I will never go back to this place again. more

I hate to bash the place, the location was nice, our server was very friendly. BUT, the food is more of that awful tourist junk--breaded and deep fried everything. I should have been scared off when I saw the "Captain's Platter" on the menu, but it had the most variety. Variety? When the stuff is so deeply fried and breaded... more

Food and service were great. They have inside and outside dining. Inside is a little drab looking. outside is nothing fancy but has a great view. It is open to a public beach where people can come up and get drinks. Oysters were very fresh and tasty! Would definitely go again! more
