Can't believe people still patronize this joint!! This has to be one of the most dingy unfriendly restaurants on the beach. The pizza is edible but nothing special(canned mushrooms) We ordered one pizza and were charged for two.Look at your bill very carefully folks or you will be ripped off!! more

I ate dinner at The Orpheus one night last week while in town. I had a pizza, which was not bad. Even though I was the only one in the place, the service wasn't good at all. The one gentleman kept going outside to read his book. To make matters worse, they had the two front doors open (in July).... more

Orpheus charged our debit card twice for one meal, and over two weeks later have not credited our account. I have called over a dozen times, and after much run around and asking me to come into the restaurant, knowing full well that I live over 3 hours drive away, they agreed to mail me a check. That was over... more

We just got back from FMB and had breakfast at the Orpheus Cafe. The omelets are the best I have ever had. My husband had the Gryo Omelet with the gyro meat cooked right in the eggs with the wonderful sauce it was great! I had the greek omelet - with tomatoes and feta - it was the best! My... more

Thanks to the earlier reviewers who recommended the Cafe Orpheus. It was a great find, one we would certainly have missed. My husband and I ate two dinners here during our recent visit to Fort Myers. Both times we shared a Greek salad and Gyro plate, more than enough for two. Returned the second evening because the first was so... more

Went for breakfast and enjoyed the food. The place itself was strange, though. When we arrived, the door was propped open and two sparrows were flying around the cafe. Then a pigeon walked in, and repeatedly banged into the windows trying to fly back out. The restaurant was dark with very few patrons. However, I have to repeat that the... more

We were there primarily on a Monday to hear the Jazz. The music was really great. However we noticed the bartender - maybe owner - was not friendly at all. When we questioned the total on our bill he said "What, do you think I'm stupid?" ... Service was just not the best there. more

If you're looking for good food at reasonable prices, then there is no better place on the FMB strip than Orpheus Cafe. The place was a bit creepy (or artsy, depending on your POV), but all the dishes were well prepared and delicious. The gyros, in particular the seasoned meat and the fresh pita, were as good as we've ever... more

We went to the Orpheus Cafe in Fort Myers Beach based on other reviews on Trip Advisor. The restaurant was pretty empty a little after 7:00, so it was no problem finding a table for the 6 members of our family. The staff (owners?) were very attentive. When my 6-year old son had a meltdown, they were very concerned that... more

My husband and I stopped in for breakfast one morning during our vacation to Fort Myers Beach in October, 2008. We were the only customers and noticed that everyone seemed to be going to the Waffle House next door. There seemed to be only one person working, an older man, and he was mostly interested in reading his book. We... more
