The view of the gulf from the deck is nice, but that's about it! The place was not busy when we went there but the service was extremely slow. The menu was average and the food was not very good. One of the people in our party found a long hair in their food!!! They did not charge for his... More

This has had a good review from trip advisor and I can understand on one hand but as far as the food goes my 16 year old boys could do better. Atmosphere great, servers were nice but that's as far as it goes, chicken/steak faijtas. Fish taco and burger all fairly tough and not the best we had tasted. Eat... More

Wife and I didn't like this restaurant. Run down tourist trap. Prices were high and food was terrible.

The food was good and menu was standard for most places at Fort Myers Beach. They have a good deck with a beautiful view of the gulf. Everyone in my party enjoyed themselves. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting!

We ate here for dinner one night and were seated immediately and had our order taken promptly. The manager was awesome, he was attentive to customers and even helped get food out and talked to every table. When he came to our table I told him my daughter wasn't happy with her entree (the shrimp were different than she was... More

My kids and I had just arrived in town. We were a bit to early to check into our room so we took a stroll. We wanted to eat lunch and a lot of the places were transitioning to lunch from breakfast. I saw an employee on the side walk and asked if they had lunch yet and he said... More

Family of 4 ordered dinner, NOTHING was good. even my kids who usually eat everything, did not care for anything we got. shrimp tacos, conch chowder, fried shrimp, fish strips. mediocre, terrible, bad and mediocre. to add insult to injury, it was not cheap. Avoid if you have a choice.

Had a few rum runners here, and also ate. Had the 1/2 dozen oysters (awesome and not slimy!), an order of beach bread, and the shrimp flatbread. Very good. Was very busy, but if you can handle it, get a seat at the bar and people watch. Staff are very good.

Every vacation needs a place like The Beached Whale! In the thick of things with very friendly staff yet has enough locals that it isn't totally touristy. Great food...Great place to get out of the sun and watch the world go by for a bit.
