Not Kansas City BBQ

We have lived here for 9 years (originally from Kansas City) and have had difficulty finding good BBQ. We were happy to see Bootleggers (formerly Big Game) advertising smoked BBQ. First night back in Fort Myers area and everyone agreed this was the perfect place to go. Oh so wrong!!! Now some BBQ place. Same owner as Parrot Key still, but it won't be open long. Two other tables there were very unhappy as well. Based on Ed D review about breast cancer employee dismissed by owner, not going back... More

Maybe it's just a local thing but since the food has gone down hill and all the good employees are now at the Lani Kai nobody goes there anymore! Anyway, the place is going to be a BBQ joint someday. They'll get some snowbirds who used to go when it was good but sooner or later they'll hear the rumors... More

Very disappointed with the latest experience. They've changed the menu so many of our routine selections aren't available anymore. They've raised the prices, too. The entrees say they come with 2 sides, BUT when we wanted to order we were told that except for a couple of the sides on the menu there would be a $2 "UP CHARGE" on... More

The last few times we've been at the Big Game Grill, we've been disappointed with the pared down menu and elevated prices. The waterfront view is great and it's nice overlooking the marina. We found out this week that the restaurant is changing its name and theme. It will be called Bootleggers and have a country vibe to it. There... More

I apologize now since I usually don't offer negative reviews. The place was not open at noon. An odor hits you when you walk in and everything was sticky. Hostess was nice and a great view. Maybe try another time but bad first impression for cleanliness.

We went for lunch and I was surprised by how limited the menu was. I know the dinner menu is much larger, so consider that. We ate outside with a nice water view. The food was average, the service was good. I'd give it a shot again for dinner maybe, but probably not lunch. Might be a cooler place if... More

Guess I already said it. New chef, new menu, better taste. Love the atmosphere, view, music, sports watching and sometimes the staff.

Food & drinks were good. Nice menu selection. The peel & eat shrimp was delicious. The grouper was good & clam chowder soups. Service was not great, but that's because we only had 1 server for a party of 20 + people. Price was reasonable.
