I not a big fish eater (love seafood), but wanted to try the "hog fish special". I swore the server said $16.95 with rice and stir fried veg. The fish was good, and veggies were either over cooked or too big & crunchy. Had I wanted to spend $27 for dinner, I would have picked something else off the menu... More

This trip was our first to Doc Fords. The food and service was excellent and the location is right on the water, making it an interesting place to dine as well. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Good food right on the water. Seating both indoor and outdoor. The tropical salad is great along with the chicken tender appetizer. We recommend this restaurant!

Great atmosphere right on the water. Good food good views, Sunday afternoon bands add a little fun. Happy Hour is a good start to relaxing after a busy day. Watch the fishermen come in with their catch. The pelicans are fun to watch

Had the pork chop. Was very tasty. The dish comes with plantains and stir fry. We also tried the pasta with lobster shrimp. The pasta was way over cooked. As far as service the waitress was flat. She didn't know availability of special. She spent 20 minutes talking to a customer at a nearby table. This is a decent place... More

Doc Ford's is a cut above some of the local seafood places in that there is an attempt to be creative with good fresh fish. The Mexican inspired banana leaf-wrapped snapper, with a cornbread (similar to polenta) topping and pesto-like sauce was a good example, although the accompanying vegetables were overcooked and benefitted from a liberal dousing of several of... My husband and I always eat at Doc Ford's at least once while vacationing in Fort Myers. We like the consistency of the food and drinks, always very good. There are many seats with a great water view to enjoy while dining as well. On a very busy weekend we ended up sitting near the bar area instead of waiting... More
