Everything we got here was good. We did the early specials a couple times. Good beer prices on the early specials to. Nice dock side atmosphere. If you like a spicy gulf shrimp you gotta try the Yucatan shrimp. The wings appetizer and the mussels appetizer specials were good and a good deal on the after 4 specials

Our family had lunch at Doc's our last day in Florida. I would highly recommend the chicken parm crusted sandwich!!

We had a large group and our waitress did an excellent job serving everyone. My husband had the oysters and said they were very good. I had the shrimp and grits and was a bit disappointed. The shrimp coating was powdery, not like panko, and the grits were the consistency of cornbread, not creamy grits. My food was not hot,... More

Difficult to get to, but only complaint. Inside or outside seating. Great food with lots of choices and reasonable prices. Enjoyed free outdoor music and dancing. Have gone there the last four trips to Ft Myers Beach.

My husband is a great fan of Randy Wayne White' s books, so going to Doc Ford's on our first visit to FMB was a must. Excellent oysters, fish fingers, and mojitos. Sandy served us on both occasions at our deck, water front table. Terrific! Crab cakes were only so-so, but otherwise a very good dining experience.

My wife and I have been to all 3 of his places. This one is probably the most exotic and the one with our favorite view but you should try them all. A great place for good size groups to gather.

Doc Ford's has a fabulous view, a nice atmosphere, and fairly reasonable prices, but I think they're trying a little too hard to be innovative in the food department and not trying hard enough to keep up the quality of the food. First, the raw oysters were excellent. Like almost all oysters in Florida now, they were from Galveston Texas,... More

We often dine at Doc Ford's when we are in the Fort Myers area, and we particularly enjoy their grouper sandwiches--deliciously prepared--their flatbreads, and their tropical salad (which three of us were able to share). Although we chose to sit inside, we sat at a table with a nice view of the water. As usual, we were not disappointed, and... More

Husband and I had lunch here a couple of weeks ago with some friends. Our server, Netta, was informative and friendly. She didn't hover and allowed us to take our time with the menu answering any questions we had. I had a panko crusted fish sandwich with coleslaw. The fish was delightfully crunchy and perfectly cooked. The coleslaw was some... More

Outdoor dining. Fun place to have cocktails, fresh fish and interesting entrees. I had a caprese salad with a crab cake. The other diners had seafood platters and grouper.
