Mel's diner is a quite cute place. It's retro themed and the prices are more than fair. You can get all the typical American food and their really deliscious, especially for this price. last time we were there, party of 5, we pay only 60 bucks for 3 burgers, 4 fries, large wings, 5 drinks ( free refill with soft... We went there with a party of four. The menu had variety,. the meals were prompt and prices fair. The carrot cake was very good. Ask for Briana, she was excellent and made the meal very enjoyable.

We stopped in for breakfast. The atmosphere is fun. I think if the employees aren't smiling and putting out a positive vibe, they probably get the hook. Just my opinion because I have never seen as many happy folks. Bob had eggs, tomato slices and a chopped beef patty. I had an Mediterranean egg white omelet with turkey, tomatoes and... More

They have the best food in town for the best prices, I especially love the breakfast, every time I go to Fort Myers I make it a point to go eat there. You won't be disappointed and their service is the very best.

I loved the look inside and out, but when I saw 3 menus and countless items available, it was time to leave. But no, we stayed and paid the price, the menu offered a "Smashed double cheeseburger and fries or onion rings and a shake for 8.99. The price was good, but the shake was watered down and tasted like... More

I haven't been to Mel's in over 15 years. Glad the place hasn't lost it's touch. I had the Turkey Bacon Club Sandwich. The turkey was carving board style. The bacon was crisp and flavorful. My only complaint was that the toast was more-like warm bread and could have used another minute in the toaster. You can't rush perfection.

The true dinner experience with a friendly staff, lots of regulars and fantastic desserts. The regular food is much as it was years ago which lends to the experience. But do not hesitate to look for the newer items on the menu.

My husband and I are new to this area and we have found Mel's Diner to have the perfect meal every time we go there. It does not matter if we order a Cheeseburger, a Prime Rib, or a Caesar Salad. Each and EVERY time we go there the food is done right. We also find the prices to be... More

Some good food, some mediocre. Large portions, inexpensive. Huge menu with lots of selections. Southern cooking meals best.
