The Old Diner Feeling

Take a visual trip back in time. The menu has something for everyone. The pulled pork sandwich and hot turkey sandwich were delicious, and the French fries are thin and crispy. They offer free Wi-Fi too!

We've wanted to try Mel's ever since we moved here, but we keep putting it off. We should've kept doing the same. After 3 minutes of waiting, the waitress showed up and asked "what do you want to drink?". No Hi, or " my name is...", nothing. She took our order by asking "what do you want?" Those were the... As mentioned above atmosphere is really awesome. Service is great but everytime we eat here we remeber it's not for the food. Burgers look great but taste frozen and bland. Turkey and dressing isn't anything like it should be. No memories of thanksgiving here. Have no complaints about service as well as soups. The food just seems more frozen and... More

I had the biscuits and gravy with a side of ham. They were delicious. A single order of the biscuits is plenty given the healthy portion of ham. But the ham was very delicious, lightly grilled, hardly any fat. My husband ordered a platter with eggs, biscuit. And gravy and requested grits instead of home fries. His eggs were cooked... More

When one goes here you are taken back four or five decades. The food is very good, The menu has something for every taste, the prices are by todays standards low for what one gets. There is great quality, and one feels like Marty McFly will be there any minute. The music is retro 50s and 60s. I have been... More

Big portions. Great food. Friendly staff. A lot of food for your money. Had breakfast there and still came out with doggie bag. Great if you want a big breakfast.

Really large portions of food, fair priced. Waitress was super nice, informative about the area. Only complaint is they lost our credit card n kept saying they gave it back to us! They finally found it in a backroom, but made my husband upset, no apology from them either.

Ah ... what can I say ...... the key lime pie was not good and that's a Florida specialty. So what else is there to say. The service was slow that night. We had looked for this place on purpose, love diners, and it took us a while to get there. Outside of the pie the food was typically standard... More

A diner as you would expect to find in New York if you could go back to the 40's and 50's. The food is hot and greasy, so enjoy if you aren't on a diet. This is a fun place with 40's and 50's in mind. Dated photos of yesterday's movie stars and the hot cars from the 50's decorate... More

Before, I rarely eat at the diners since the food is just always greasy and like "express" style for me. I've tried Mels a few times before, not really impressed. However, things change and one day it's just suddenly the "mel's love" started...oh well, maybe it's because of the funnel fries...I've also tried the fish sandwich for lunch, it was... More
