The clam strips were very good. They were cooked well and were tender. However portion of strips was small for 14.99. Clam Chowdar came as a side and had very few clams. Very noisy one big room. Baked beans portion also small.

We went on a Saturday night and the place was packed. Wait was advertised as 40 minutes but we were seated in 20. Go before 6:00PM and you'll still get the early bird special prices even if you are seated after 6:00PM. Food was served quickly and was hot and tasty. The fried haddock was lightly battered and delicious. So,... More

and I don't like clams so the experience I had was OK. I had grouper and it was dripping with oil, not to happy with that but after blotting the fish it was tasty. Appetizer was a shrimp cream dip of some sort served with taco chips and that was OK. I had a Bloody Mary for which they are... More

Clam Bake seems to use fresh sea food but there food preparation is amateurish. Presentation was not even a consideration. They call them selves a New England Sea Food Restaurant so I probably shouldn't have ordered sea food gumbo and blackened sword fish. However, the gumbo was delicious and the sword fish was acceptable. They have blackened on the menu... More

I had friends visiting me this past week and they wanted sea food. I took them too "Clam Bake " on south Tamiami Trail in Ft Myers and they loved it. The service and food was perfect. They are not cheap but you get what you paid for. Excellent experience. Excellent food. My friends talked about the restaurant for days... More

Other reviewers from New England are spot on in giving this lovely, family-owed and operated top marks. After living in Massachusetts for 30+ years, I experience cravings for clams with bellies and there is no better place for them here in FL than the Clam Bake. The rest of the seafood and chowders are excellent, and the options of the... More

It took me awhile to decide whether to give this 4 or 5 stars..I could have gone either way. I would like to start by saying the proprietor's of this place are very warm and friendly. Having moved to Southwest Fl from Rhode Island I often miss the great seafood available there. The Clam Bake can take me right back... More

Wow truly New England in Fort Meyers. The Lobster Bisque probably was the best I have tried. The fried whole Belly clams fried to a perfect golden color. With a light batter. Pat our server was so helpful with our choices. Drinks were a good size with top shelf brands. I would pass on the pecan pie next time. Served... More

We are locals and regulars at the clambake. It's like dining with family :-) Some of our favorite dishes include the lobster roll, the 3 pound steamed lobster dinner, haddock fingers and fried clams are great too! You have to try the lobster bisque and the clam chowder. Both are awesome - get the bowl because the cup just isn't... More
