This place is where I take friends and family when visiting from out of town. SO good! Consistently. Try the Quahog appetizer. The version with sausage adds just the right spiciness. The steamed pot with clams, mussels, sausage and shrimp is my favorite dish. Sometimes I get it with lobster too. Always perfectly prepared. The clam chowder is also very good.... More

Went here for lunch. From the outside it doesn't look very big or anything special but once you get inside it's really nice. Nice tables and chairs, not all pushed together so you can hardly move but spaced nicely. Their lunch specials are 11.99 and include either clam chowder or salad and choice of one side. I ordered sea scallops... More

Many friends really like this place. Everyone swears about their Lobster Bisque. I am not a fan of it, but majority rules. I am spoiled by the Riverhouse in Savannah, GA and all others are compared to that. The fish is fresh and reasonably priced. I tried the clear chowdah (yes that is spelled correctly from their menu) which was... More

From the moment we walked into The Clam Bake we felt it was going to be a great experience. Mike, the Bartender greeted us with his Indiana twang & the most welcome personality you could imagine. Owners are from Rhode Island. The seafood menu nearly had us drooling all over the bar. Started off with fried clams. They were a... More

We had heard good things about The Clam Bake, but our neighbors were the ones who finally got us there. And we’re so happy they did! You will not find haute cuisine at The Clam Bake. What you will find is fresh, simply prepared and perfectly cooked seafood (and a few non-seafood offerings). Having grown up in central New Jersey,... More

I didn't know food could have so much flavor! The soup was outstanding and the fish divine. Our 3 year old was so happy here. If you go, order a side of corn, Devine! We are used to 4-5 star restaurants and even though this might not look it, it's 5 star food!!!

This was our first time at the Clam Bake and surely will go back. The food and service was very good. I had the fried clams which were very good, cooked just right with a nice golden color to them. My wife had the broiled fish which she also enjoyed. The restaurant it self is quite large with a nice... More

I'm from New England and these are some of the best fried clams I've ever had..fresh,sweet and tender. The only thing I would ask of the chef is pleeeeeeease add more clams to the chowdah..it really is very weak..ting bits hardly visible to the naked eye...both times I've been this was my only complaint. When I go out for seafood I really... We were greeted by the owners and seated at one of the large tables as we had 60+ people in our group. Patrick explained this is one of the oldest restaurants in Ft Myers and gave us time to look over the menu while we had a beer. There is an extensive menu but we chose from the early dining... More

Not that great. We got the lobster rolls hoping for a good one. Unfortunately it didn't deliver. Mediocre at best. The lobster bisque was pretty good and so was the crab and corn chowder
