Difficult to find but worth it

We were to meet friends at the Clam Bake and the rain was pouring. This did not stop us as we had reservations and took advantage of the early bird special for our drinks while waiting for our friends to arrive. We were told this place had authentic ri ma seafood . We were not disapointed .We ate here at least 5 times during our 5 week stay in the area. We had haddock, scallops, baked stuffed shrimp every one of those dishes was very good. But go before six pm after that the prices almost double for not much more food. The meals... More

The place is tucked into a seemingly empty strip mall, signage is difficult to see, but hten that is the way it is down here. Being a transplant from coastal Massachusetts, now living in SWFL, trying to dine at a local restaurant that mimics our old stomping grounds is difficult at best. Sure the clams were decent size, but the... More

Read so many good reviews that I thought this place would be outstanding. We had reservations and we were seated quickly. Service was good. I asked about the crabcakes and how they compared to Maryland style. Waitress said was told by Marylanders that they were not the same but still good. I ordered those. There was no comparasion to lump... More

We always see a lot of car's parked in front of this restaurant even though it's in the back corner of a mostly deserted strip shopping center. So we decided to give it a try. What great restaurant. Good service, good food good prices. We have been back 3 times in the last month. Anything we tried on the menu... More

The best seafood in Florida....try the Lobster Roll, better than any we have had in Maine. The Haddock early bird dinner is a delicious recipe. Appetizers are half price at happy hour with a great happy hour drink menu. The Margarita's are made in a old fashioned natural recipe, and are delicious. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance. The seafood... More

Being a New England born guy it is hard to duplicate the seafood we grew up with. This place was a great surprise. I walked in and was happy with the feeling, what a comfortable place. The service was excellent and the kitchen was open for all to see. My wife had the fried clams, and they were excellent, cooked... More

I thought I had hit a home run when I walked into the Clambake. The place was big and it was FULL. The menu looked good and the service was prompt. What followed was the disappointment. The chowder was simply tasteless and the reason was clear; it lacked more than a couple of specks of clams. The broiled shrimp, scallop... More

It's been two years since we were here and what a difference. This place has gone from really good food to mediocre at best. The fish and chips was a big failure, the broiled scallops bland but the stuffed shrimp was good...just skip the garlic spuds. Very disappointing.

Located in a strip mall, this place feels like a seafood shack from the north east. Lots of fried items and boils. Crabs, clams, lobster, scallops. Started with a chowda it was good, a little thin I like mine with more potato and bigger pieces of clam, personally. Then has the crab and shrimp dip, it was served with tortilla... More
