Good Indian Cuisine

It's good - close to authentic - but then this is Fort Myers and this is the best Indian cuisine that you can get in this zip code. We had Aloo Paratha, Fish Curry and Jeera Rice. We had asked to make the curry spicy and it was great. The entree was supposed to come with onion chutney, but didnt.... read more

I used to live in Atlanta and there we had several great Indian places to choose from. Being this seems to be the only game in town for the fare I decided to give it a try. I ordered some take our Tandoori Chicken and Beef Vindalo and of course the Nan bread. The Chicken and bread were good, but... More

We had been in Fort Myers for about a month and had a real craving for Indian food (we live in the Atlanta Georgia area). After reading reviews we determined India Palace was our best bet. We stopped by late in the afternoon to get our order to go. We waited in a dark bar area, it was not clean.... More

We happened upon this place looking for vegetarian food in the area (they also have meat dishes). Being from Chicago we've had lots of Indian food. This was one of the best meals we've ever had. The Samosas were perfection, the vegetable dishes cooked with just the right amount of spices. Garlic naan, and safron rice...yum! I only wish they had... More

I use to eat at this place for years and it was one of the best Indian restaurants I've been to. I moved away and came back a year later... the food was terrible. The prices went up and the quality plummeted. My two take out meals with a side of naan were $40. New owners and a new chef... More

Very hard to find Indian restaurants when traveling.   We saw India Palace on TA and stopped in for their lunch buffet.  The buffet was filled with many vegetarian dishes and two chicken dishes.  Most dishes were different from the ones we have had at other Indian Buffets while traveling so it was very nice to get some more variety... Here is my 2 cents on the food and some chit chat. First the good stuff. If you ask for hot sauce the HOT sauce is really hot. I went for the buffet. Over all it was mediocre at best. I come from San Francisco Bay area,...Fremont,CA. They have a very large Indian population. In turn many eatery. So I... More

Came here for dinner after a visit to beaches around fort Myers with a group of friends from plantation. The food was good. The Malai Kofta was awesome. The rice accompanying the sabjis could have been a little sister. Overall great food. It is on the pricey dude compared to similar Indian restaurants in plantation.

I would rate 5/5... Food was tasty and dessert was awesome, especially Gulab Jamun. I would recommend this restaurant if you are looking for good food ( not cheap food)

I found this place on Trip Advisor by reading a review of another Indian restaurant. The reviewer commented that he would rather eat at India Palace so we tried it. It was a half hour drive but well worth the trip. We went on a Saturday for the luncheon buffet ($13.95). The place is clean and attractive with attentive service.... More
