The Gold Skillet provides excellent food ,most famous for sea food, in a country setting in the Ocala Nat. Forest. Some of the food is amazingly good. Local people go here regularly. I had the best biscuits and gravy I have ever had in my life there. I am big foodie and this place is amazing. You cant travel to the area without stopping by for a meal.

Had the scallops and they were great only $7.50. Food is great large portions and you can buy fresh seafood buy the pound. They have more than just seafood great place

My wife and I ate at this little restaurant in rural Fort McCoy, which is just north of Ocala. She ordered pan fried steak and I gator tail. We thought both were excellent. This is a basic place. No cloth tablecloths here. The florescent lights were a negative. But $25 for a great meal for two made it worthwhile. $7.95... More

Stopped at this restaurant after a morning of fishing. We were hungry. We ordered ground beef and pork chops. They came accompanied with sliced potatoes, eggs and sliced toasted bread. My beef and eggs were really disappointing. I don't think they even put salt on them. The fries were carelessly done. They were half burnt half undercooked and dripping oil.... More
